Anything good to feel about this season? 16:08 - Apr 26 with 2837 views | stainrods_elbow | We're probably staying up by 3-4 points with a lower points total than last season's misery! Manager may be off. CEO hated/scapegoated by two thirds of the constituency. Half the squad or more out of contract/too old/too young/not good enough. Owners asleep at the wheel. New bits of LR closed down every 3 months. Yeah, but apart from all that . . . I suppose I could cheer a few up on here by sacrificing myself on a home-made LfW altar. In the meantime, anyone? Anything good to feel about this season? on 16:22 - Apr 26 with 2283 views | Toast_R | A dogs dinner of a season. Not a disaster as that would mean relegation, but on the border line between Extrememly Dissappointing and Disaster. The worst part about it is there is simply no momentum for next season, players out of contract and the signings we're stuck with have been mostly pish. Let's just hope the injury problems have been just crass bad luck rather than a problem of the clubs own making. This Summer will be a welcome break from QPR.

I never get sick of walking into Loftus Road meeting great characters. Just having a laugh . Sometime some decent football breaks out. Away games always a laugh . Planning some more away days next season and some over night stays. We’re stuck in a moment we can’t get out off but we’re not leauge one . That’ll have to do for now.

Anything good to feel about this season? on 21:43 - Apr 26 with 1956 views | colinallcars | It's the heaviest last home game defeat since we lost 0-6 to St Augustus Priory in 1601. Even that defeat was in part mitigated by the Rs having Tom Tinker and Will the blacksmith sent off in the second half.
Anything good to feel about this season? on 22:25 - Apr 26 with 1882 views | HAYESBOY | Morgan coming through. Koli getting more minutes. Edwards and Saito (we broke Saito) was very good for us. Middle of the season was great. Yes, I'm struggling.

Another transition year, squad stronger than last year with said names, Morrison, Vale, JCS et al to return. DS squad in big semi on Wednesday. It’s football, few winners, but for me will always love walking up the steps and seeing the pitch. What’s good news? Far more teams below us than above, we are somewhere around the 35th best team in the country. Had a few beers today, at my god daughters 1st born Christening (boy) who is going to be a Cardiff fan so he had a bad day without knowing it.

Anything good to feel about this season? on 23:37 - Apr 26 with 1661 views | numptydumpty | After 16 games, we had only 1 win and were 10 points adrift of safety. We comfortably avoided relegation, which if you look at where we were, we were guaranteed relegation But today showed how far we need to get, in order to improve !!

If you’ve read some of my other posts on here you’ll find I’m not particularly happy with everything that goes on at the club . Would really love to know what your expectations of a club like ours are at that moment. It’s obviously a lot higher than mine at the moment. I actually agreed with some of your points but it’s obviously not enough for you . Keep posting though because it’s always good to hear different points of view. And I’m sure the club love fans like me because we keep turning up through thick and thin. Let’s be honest if we didn’t, you and I wouldn’t have a club to comment on .
Anything good to feel about this season? on 14:07 - Apr 27 with 1216 views | loftus77 | I would say what made this season unique/special/good was the strength of The Winter Offensive - and Marti/Zavi must take huge credit for that. I've been following Rangers since 1977 and I cant recall many seasons where we showed such fine, consistent winning form from Early Advent all the way to Valentine's Day, right through the worst, darkest months of winter where traditionally we are awful, partic. round Xmas/New Year. The awfulness this season was late summer/autumn and spring - which again is historically un-QPR like. A topsy-turvy season, therefore, but that winter form was good and memorable. If this is a disaster what words would be left to describe getting relegated and entering administration?

Anything good to feel about this season? on 15:07 - Apr 27 with 974 views | QPROslo | We have stayed in the League. I thought we'd be in the relegation battle. We have been, but survived. Just. I want more but we're going to end up in the sort of position our Budget, player salary cost and size of ground points to. New players have come in some of whom I have really enjoyed watching and others who have done well. Smyth has improved a lot from last season and his pace and determination have been a great watch.
Anything good to feel about this season? on 20:43 - Apr 27 with 772 views | terryb | This season has mainly been poor to very poor, with a few uplifting moments. That makes it the same as the majority of the near sixty years that I've supported Queens Park Rangers! I would argue that in this century there have only been three seasons that don't fit that description. EDIT. Make that four seasons, I should have included season 04/ 05. [Post edited 27 Apr 20:58]

Totally agree through my 50 seasons. We love QPR through the bad times, the very bad times and the marginally less bad times. And the marginally less bad times deserve an open top bus parade, for the fans.

Anything good to feel about this season? on 20:56 - Apr 27 with 729 views | Northernr | Not really. I was pretty optimistic we were heading in the right direction this time last year. I've had a good time, as ever, travelling round with my mates. The football has mostly been dreadful. I think it's amazing we've stayed up, but even that points to it being a very poor league this year which itself represents a missed opportunity. Now it's just wnkrs playing games, egos fighting each other, people leaking stuff for their own benefit not QPR's, a lot of dick swinging. Who's the constant? The 1,000 idiots going to Sunderland next week, who sell out at home every week, who pack away ends, who haven't voiced a word of protest or disdain, who stuck around yesterday to clap a fcking lap of honour even after this shambolically recruited nonsense team lost 5-fcking-0 at home. We've got a fantastic, vocal group of young people following our club now, creating atmosphere, packing the place out, travelling away. It's wonderful to see. They deserve better. The old twts who've done every game since the war deserve better. What reward do they get? An abysmally run club, controlled and piloted by people unfit.

Anything good to feel about this season? on 21:20 - Apr 27 with 643 views | ngbqpr | As I posted in another thread a while back, my three hopes for the season were: - some stability, which I intended to judge by ending the season with the same manager we started it with - more points than last season as a sign of slow but steady progress - to be entertained more often than not in the 50% or so of games I expected to make in the flesh. We will fall short on the points total, tho it'll be close...to be fair, maybe I've been a bit lucky, but I've been entertained quite often (the comebacks at Bramall Lane and Luton, Alfie's goal at Sheff Weds, the Valenitne's Derby massacre, Jimmy's goals at the Loft End)...but while we've just made it on the stability, it looks like we're about to fck that up. So overall, a tad disappointed - tho as Kensal (who I've known for years and can confirm is NOT a happy clapper!) says above, disaster is relegation or administration, not lower midtable with several clubs with bigger budgets below or only just above us. The undoubted highlights...more young players getting a chance and looking half decent than we've had for many years...and as Clive says, the support. I don't think I'm being hyperbolic in saying that, home and away, in many aspects it's the best I've seen it in 50 years of attending.

Anything good to feel about this season? on 21:25 - Apr 27 with 626 views | lassel | Staying up is absolutely a reason to feel good about this season. With *that* squad and then the injury list ontop it’s a minor miracle in itself. Of course the nagging doubt has to be that it’s just set us up for an utter gobbumming next season and a pretty toxic atmosphere come late autumn. [Post edited 27 Apr 21:25]
