Who says he’d have to come to west London? A role at QPR, while doing another, higher profile job, working remotely in the middle-east…Equally strange things have happened

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

I'm not expecting him to stay if - well, when, sigh - Marti goes but apparently, Calm used to handle the defensive side of our coaching. Marti focused on the attacking part.

A bit dissapointed we have no word on Calm who was in co- charge of our last game and his name has popped up nowhere on this thread as bookies odds.
Will he stay attached to Martis hip during his early career or try and push out on his own.He is incredibly loyal of course and the way QPR treated Marti might turn him off or it just might be the wrong time.
Look at Gerrard and Beale a great team together at Villa and Rangers then they split away and Beale fell through the cracks (his own doing )and Gerrard went to SA

Calm actually has pushed out on his own a couple of times in Spain taking the number 1 role. On both occasions starting as the assistant of someone else (same bloke both times) and taking over when he was sacked. This is commonplace in the Spanish lower leagues though, clubs go through managers quicker than even the EFL

As I've said on here before 😀, Calm was previously at Birmingham City, where he was Pep Clotet's assistant.

Back in Spain, he was the assistant of the superbly named Jordi Roger. Not the nickname of a pub regular, although it should be.

Apologies. They were deficient defensively, whilst offensively, the second highest scorers in the league.

The reason I ask is that his gripe was that he was asked to develop the youth as his brief. He was then told playoffs were a minimum and said that wasn't the original brief. Players stopped playing for him according to my Cousin who is a ST there. They were all very happy with the original appointment btw but it clearly didn't work for them.

Meanwhile, in the real world, it looks as if the former Norwich coach will in all likelhood take over from the MC. A Norwich team that conceded more goals than us. Essentially, his sole role was to make their defence more watertight, as their ability to score goals was never an issue.

He failed, royally. That team should have been much closer to the play-offs, if not in the top six.

Yet, he's deemed as being an upgrade on the MC. It's derisory. Of the two, there's only one person who managed to get the optimum, in terms of performance, from their respective team's ability last season.

How many times under MC did you see the quote on this forum 'That's the worst half of football I've seen from this team'. MC was good but not infallible.

Interest in this bloke from England apparently, was on WBA's radar but they are likely going with Ryan Mason so far. Maybe someone we are looking at? who knows. Go Ahead Eagles is a cool name for a team anyway.

I respect that Cifuentes, but if he were to go to The Hawthornes and tart himself around until those Baggies got all excited, I’d say - No, get your fat pampered celebrity arse out in the garden and stop disrespecting the Queens Park Hydrangeas.

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?
