The list is about players coming to the end of a Queens Park Rangers contract. Saito didn't have one & so he couldn't have been included. The same with Edwards, Ashby & Yang.
I don't see anything on the list that couldn't have been supplied to the EFL by the 17th May, unless they were trying to terminate Richard's contract!
Quick note - as the years go by and we lose track of who’s got what contract under this new coms regime of telling the fans as little as possible, this brief statement with nothing in it is going to be how you find out each year, and in multiple cases it’ll be the first you knew that player even was out of contract.

Is that an option? Was there mis-conduct during his loan?
What a load of absolute fckin nonsense that statement is. The bullshit communication strategy persists and continues to feel more and more counter productive to us building something as a collective. Completely in the dark regarding the manager, coaching, backroom staff and player situations - and for what purpose? Where's the competitive advantage in any of this?

At least I don't have to see drop, drip for a while.😁

Clive you may have already addressed this, but how many other clubs indulge in this absurd strategy of extreme secrecy? Are we outliers?
Colback and Fox are both ten a penny Champ players, they have no resale value and are not worth a new deal in my opinion, unless its a pay as you play deal.
The only thing I'd be discussing with Anderson is to ask him what happened this year? His drop off in form was outstanding.
I'm not sure what we are discussing with Jimmy. It's not about an extra year is it? If he leaves to go somewhere else they will be offering a signing on fee to the player, which I doubt QPR can get anywhere near, I don't think there is much to discuss. If Jimmy wants to leave then that is what happens, in that regard its like Manning again, but without the vitriol from the fans
"unless its a pay as you play deal." The minimum weekly wage for a player in the EFL Championship is £112. This is part of the EFL's regulations to protect players from exploitation. Pay as you play is feasible with the above provisio but very rare these days. Re Colback, for the wages alone I would have kept Harry Murphy and let Colback go. IMO McCann, Petrie and Shepherd are all worth another year but out on loan at L1 level.
I believe Saito's loan was with a permanent contract in view. His contract at Lommel ends this summer.
At the risk of being Debbie downer yet again, Saito is owned by CFG. They were never going to let his contract expire as they bought him initially to sell for a profit down the line. We had an agreed *purchase* price, based upon certain conditions as they have an option to extend his deal which they’ll take and look to sell him elsewhere this summer.

What is the point of keeping players like Fox, Andersen and Colback? We need to improve the team otherwise you just repeat what’s happened this season. We can’t have another season just trying to stay up! We need a better squad than the one we have just had! Dunne I would keep for sure.
Colback is one of our worst performers - look at the stats for our squad on Sofascore. He also has a worse PPG compared to Varane, Field or Morgan for matches where they played at least 30 minutes. He's slow, has terrible discipline and awful defending our box. Mystifying why so many like him. Unless he's on hugely reduced wages then bin.

Geniune question, what additional info would you have liked to see from that statement?
I agree the whole manager situation (or lack of one) is not doing anyone any good and needs resolving ASAP to help us prepare as best possible for next season, I also don’t expect to be updated on the sensitive intricacies of the recruitment process.. I mean, have we ever?
Might be nice to publicly thank the 3 loan players like they used to but we're probably not meant to know they are leaving
Saiko, Edwards, Ashby, Yang loans. Aren’t they normally until End of May, so they can play in any potential Playoff matches ? So may be waved farewell next week ? I know our season was over weeks ago, but that ‘might’ be why…..?
Bob or No Hope of getting Edwards back I fear. Saiko, I’m hopeful, if his parent club contract ends too. Yang, was there a rumour of an 18 month loan ? Ashby, can return with thanks. Average at best and we can’t afford Premiership wages.
Of those released, Paal is a shame, but we’ll find another with Esquerdinha a youthful replacement and Vale ? Petrie & Murphy both 21+ I think, thus under Nourry’s rules, should be knocking on the 1st team door by now (I kind of agree they should) If there was a chance the powers that be think they might, I’m sure a 6 month or 1 year extension would have been considered. Maybe Both wanted Longer deals or have been offered longer elsewhere ?
Dunne, if all he wants is an additional year, I’d give it him, but I suspect Sheff Utd will get him, they seem keener on him than us. Coleback, 1 year, reduced wages. He’s a good squad player and he can’t get so many injuries or bookings starting on the bench. Anderson & Fox, thanks and goodbye. There’s better out there.

I agree, i'd rather see the club spend their budget on developing players than flogging a dead horse. However, from what little I saw I thought Murphy was more similar to our other smaller #10's A player that did catch my eye was Alfie Tuck, who alongside the impressive Morgan looked a cut above the Brentford team. If he could become stronger then I think he could be a part of the midfield, as he looks forward, offering something that Colback and Field maybe didn't do last season.
The other three DS could probably all sign on and we would still be spending less than on one experienced player

Do you know whether or not we'll pay the asking price?
I meant that they MIGHT have been trying to negoiate a termination. I'm not aware of any mis-conduct.
I can't see any other reason for not issuning the list at the required time.
Realistically, if you were Taylor would you take an early pay off? He could turn up to training and get paid every week for 12 months. Or, get paid 6 months money now and become a free agent. *durations are all speculation, as we are not allowed to have the advantage of knowing contract lengths

I believe we may be stuck in this with hjm for another 2 years. I believe we somehow gave him a 4 year contract.

Colback had the best pass completion rate of the whole squad last season if I remember right. He looked the midfielder most capable of getting us moving the ball through midfield with quick, angled forward, short give/take passing as well. As he did the season before that imo. I wouldn't be letting him go without having a decent replacement if he doesn't cost too much, but then that goes for most of our players.
If I were Andersen/Colback/Fox I'd try and string the club along until after the golfing booze-up to Spain before clearing off to a half-paced league somewhere sunny for 9 months.
