If Nourry no showed I think that'd be a new 40 page thread, be careful with that one!

Thought everyone came off well, JS definitely got his humorous side, interesting to hear more of the facts from Ben Williams

Which fact did you like most, the one where we had a good season fitness-wise, and he's sorry we didn't always get to see our "favourite players" like we're all 10?

Or the one where there was nothing we could do about the injuries anyway, because they were non-muscle related and that's just the way it is (when the man most responsible spends most of his time elsewhere)?

For balance, he did give a couple of better answers later on in terms of more detail on getting the most out of players.

Its built on sand , when ratings go down and its not worth making anymore the names will leave . along with the commercial revenue .

Was tongue in cheek comment

Clearly the revenue they got has got them up three ladders in divisons and they likely be very competitive this season too.

And yes it will end but its been a great success and now they have to do it in the right football way.

Wasnt suggesting we should get Meghan Markle to have a boxing match against Chloe Kelly to be hosted at Loftus Road and shown on all major networks to promote our brand !!! 😁

Looks like the Plan A is to get young players in, develop them, then sell for a profit 2-3 years down the line.
It worked for Kelman
Who's next? Varane?

About availability over the seasons, which type of injuries we've been receiving. I'm not going to write a transcript but that's a few. I'm not sure why you're so cynical when you could've emailed or gone and asked whatever questions you want?

The question as asked was completely fine, nothing to add. I was fine at home but thanks for the call to arms.

You have a bit of a Ben Williams fanboy feel to you - am putting you down as one of the new PR guard for now

Lol so predictable and brilliant. I forgot I should be commenting about his looks during a fans forum. Great discussion mate

I like our commitment to long term thinking and sticking to it. I believe CN when he says that's what he wants.

Whether the board can do the same is the question. One bad run and we'll bring in £40k a week Bamford.

Please though, no more questions about hotdogs.

Apparently no fans have asked him about contract lengths before....

We can have a discussion on that - all you had to do was ask.

For someone who has been straddling TransAtlantic roles (apparently quite badly) and is now apparently back here I thought he genuinely looked fairly knackered.

Not exactly putting his best foot forward now he's back, but that would.be fine if he gave good answers. However as I later said (which you didn't like at the time, fanboy) I thought the content of his first 3 answers was very poor.

Also see above re patronising glossing over of actual issues last season - a bit like you've done.

I’ll go back and check the tape as I write this up, but did he say we actually had one fewer injury in 24/25 than we did in 23/24?

Yep you heard it right, something about it being more "non contractile tissue injuries" and having more surgeries leading to less availability

I think so .

85% availability last season too apparently.
No defenders in the first half of the season and no strikers in the second half , with Chair getting 2 injuries and Dembele missing 2/3 of the season, Anderson with 2 injuries , Frey who couldn’t play for a month if he played 90 mins , JCS was well …JCS.
And on and on and on it went .

It’s just sounds like a load of nonsense to me

Something like that. Number of injuries vs number of people injured I think.

80% availablity 3 years ago, 91% 2 years ago, 83% last season, so when you average it out that's 88% over the last season so wtf are you moaning about?

And it's all different to 15 years ago anyway you fat old c*nts, one day this will all belong to Christian and me and the Crypto influencers and you'll all be dead.

It does always fascinate me that people say things that are so easily disproven, and seemingly don't care or think people won't check.

Quite a few examples of white lies or nonsense claims - particularly at these forums - that are completely unnecessary.

Some of the comments from Ben Williams also shows a lack of accountability, which is a particular bugbear of mine. It's fine to make mistakes or get things wrong! Learning from them is what matters!

I’m sure William’s said earlier on that we had made changes behind the scenes on the guys running the show on a day to day basis , if we had less injuries why would you do that ?

My take on tonight is this , they aren’t worried about promotion or even challenging for promotion it’s purely about a production line now , even results didn’t come across as being that important at one stage , nourry is fully pulling the strings with everything including the manager and possibly who’s playing each week , for a club short of cash no idea why it’s so important to bring desousa in and two others lower down the food chain , for the dev squad and younger players , and I’m not actually sure what the role is anyway being totally honest .

So we can draw from tonight is youth players being used from day one
Youth players who maybe been promising players given time being overplayed in a§ sink or swim excercise .

A very long painful season ahead

Oh and it seems Stve Bould gets Saturday off as won’t be involved with the first team in match days

You can pretty much make stats prove anything depending on how you measure them. What does 85% availibility actually mean?
85% of the whole squad (including devs and u21s) wasn't injured? Or 85% of the first team? Or maybe everyone was available but for only 85% of the time.

"Remember to listen to me but look at her. Don't get it the wrong way round. That would be hideous."

I thought that was a really interesting answer to the injuries question.

We have basically been a bit unlucky but if we keep making the right decisions in terms of loading then we should be fine
