The below - a copied and pasted post from Burton's MB. I laughed out loud at the money reference, had to forward to here.

Sad to see him go but just hope we've got a fair fee, they're not short of a bob or two. I'd be shocked if it's less than £1m.

Hopefully now we can push on with moving the unwanted players (6 or 7 of them at least) on, maybe if needs be using a bit of this money to help get them a move somewhere else or paying a few of them up.

Obviously we'll need a replacement for him, whether that be a paid signing, a free or a quality loan in, and about 4 or 5 other signings then we're set to go.

Poll: Thank God The Seaons Over.

Question is, how much time will he miss with ACON?*

*cf Stewart, Damion, LFW Glossary.**
**NB Not a racist. Don’t call him Dave, cf Agyemang, Patrick, LFW Glossary.

That is some niche LFW back catalogue memory you've got there my friend.

Quite enthusiastic about this. Like the fact it has come out of the blue, like that QPR is an appealing step up for him, like that he is fast and hard working.

I think the poacher comparisons with Celar - and inability to service them -are interesting. I think the big issue with Celar is his timidity, he was constantly hiding last season, never really won a battle against an opposition CB.

What I'm heartened by in the Burrell piece and from highlights is that he's stretching the play and running behind in a way Celar doesn't. And he's doggedly closing down CBs that again, Celar doesn't do. If he's come up through the leagues, should have plenty of experience of big 6"2 centre halves kicking through the back of him.

The technical quality jump is obviously big and I think we'll probably have to be patient with him. But I think there's lots of appealing upsides to this signing.

Not a dig at you mate, but the messaging that Chair "holds on to the ball too long" and is a "luxury player" like Madsen and Dembele really boils my pss.

He always shows for the ball, grabs games by the scruff of their neck and puts a real defensive shift in. His energy and enthusiasm has literally carried this team for the last 3-4 seasons and yet this site disrespectful him week after week.

Could be why we're not allowed nice things...

Think you need to read my post again. I was praising Chairs fitness and work rate in the game yesterday, but he is not the one who should be chasing the CB’s around the park.

For me, he has been our most reliable and consistent performer for years. Add his loyalty and commitment to QPR just reinforces my love of the guy. First name on the team sheet every day of the week.

I don't think I've read anything about whether he can hold up the ball. Anyone come across anything? It would be very handy if he can.

On X someone said it's not really his thing. Prefers running on to through balls or via the channels.

Apparently more of a drop deep, pass and spin type of back to goal game, rather than physical hold up play.

Yeah, coming short and laying off to the runners. Thing is he has the pace to do that and then get in the box.

When did we last have a striker that did that?

As I said, it is in no way a dig at your post or you. There are plenty of others on this board that will have a dig when he's had a bad game despite being out injured for three months!

Can we go out yet?
Poll: What would you take for Willock if a bid comes this month?

If he can press defenders then this is more than Celar can do already, let alone the pace he has as an asset.

Maybe Furlong can coach him to hold up the ball, and then we shall have a player on our hands.

We know at least he's worth £1m as Plymouth were willing to spend on him. Remember he's a stopgap until Frey is fit enough to start or he's the real deal and we have found that mythical 20-goal striker ... yes I know comedy gold!

If we are buying Ba as well, that could mean Celar is defo off.

zzzzzzzzzz
