Probably BS but theres a few people on X talking about Chair being injured. Have I missed something? Hope it’s wrong

I've not seen anything to that effect.

Hes been poor so far and doesn't look fit. Give vale a.go at no 10. Chair flatters to deceive too much.

Was listening to the W12 Podcast earlier this evening and a couple of the lads on there were saying that they felt ourselves having hung onto Chair for so long, actually had enabled us to be less effective due to the fact , very often everything went through Ilias and usually ended with Ilias also.

I kind of understood the point they were making as at times his need to beat the man ten times before making the pass / cross was an issue, but then often he was the only one that ever looked like he could unpick the lock...

We do finally have several players up top that feel like, they could be effective....

For me, he is still a very important player for us...

I hope he's fit. He's struggled in the last couple of games - as he seems to often - when he tries to carry the team on his back.

Again, like Sam Field, we shouldn't be going after players who love the club and give everything for the shirt. Chair has been pretty important in the best part of a decade of sh*t teams and has given basically his whole career to us.

He missed training since Tuesday . As did Morgan .

Doesn’t mean that they are not available for tomorrow though .
But to lose both for any length of time would be pretty catastrophic at the moment .

Ben Williams working his magic once more.

No Morgan or Chair will mean Madsen in midfield again.

Just because a player loves the club they shouldn't be immune to criticism. The criticism of Field is simply unfounded, he does his job for us well in the majority of the games he plays.

In many ways I have given up on Chair because he will likely always be around. We have had these conversations about him in previous seasons and no doubt will next season and beyond. If he was a top player then other clubs would have come in for him with serious bids, he would still be in the Morrocan national squad.

He is very much a QPR player and we have to wait for his moments of magic and goals. Currently I think he is missing a good foil. He played well with Willock, with Paal but at the moment he has nobody.

If it wasn’t for Chair we would have been relegated a while ago - the man has single handedly dragged this club through several messes

He also put in the kind of yards and effort against Watford that most of the team need to learn from

Let’s keep respect where it’s due

i really have no problem with Ilias and if the club offered him a new deal I would not complain. I actually thought he looked fit during the pre season.

I find these conversations about him a bit pointless as by now everyone should know the kind of player he is and what he brings to the team.

Chair on 22:56 - Aug 22 with 3180 viewsHooparoo

He’s best in the 10 position and now we’ve got some real pace around him up front maybe he’ll trust those around him to make intelligent runs so he doesn’t feel as though he has to go it alone all the time.

I think fans suggesting both Field and Chair are not up to the job is very odd.

Players that give 110% and love the club, either could be captain in Dunne's absence.

QPR men that deserve our respect....

Chair signed a new deal at the beginning of the year.

I can't imagine Ilias is the easiest player to play with, gauging his next move, predicting what he might do.

If he could ever strike up a Stanley/Gerry telepathic type relationship with another player that would be something.

It's been a long time since Chair consistently played well for us, thought he was poor last season and hasn't started this one great. He's a tricky one as I don't think he's creative enough to play in that number 10 role and out wide he holds onto the ball for too long

I've loved him over the years but does feel like his career is drifting at the moment

A lot of people seemed to think he was poor at Watford. I thought he was by some distance our best player on the day- a low bar admittedly.

Does anyone else in this squad have the cojones to try and run the game? As poor a side as this is at times I think it’d be far poorer without him and the role Stephan is trying to give him suits him. He never hides, he does plenty of running for a ‘10’. I will fly the flag for the ‘Chair in the middle of the pitch’ society as long as I live or at least until I get bored and start demanding 4-4-2.

Was hugely excited to see him get a run in the middle at 10 - as he’d become very one dimensional and predictable on the left.

But he’s been a massive disappointment so far

The issue with Chair is he’s not creative with his short passing and still he holds onto the ball long.

He is a warrior and has many other good attributes, I like him as a QPR talisman, but in terms of skills he hit his ceiling hard a couple of years ago

The simple fact is no one has made a proper concerted effort to buy him either. That says a lot.

Thought he worked his socks off .
Field and Chair being part of the furniture (excuse)
here may be seem to be part of the malaise we’re in for the last few years but take them out in recent years and we’re a leauge one club.

If it is with a hamstring or ACL as is doing the rounds then big problems for Queens Park Rangers as our best player out for a period.

I hope he’s in the starting line up today and every week.

Conversations about Ben Williams are needed if this is true

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Really? Both players were in the training video put out by the club this week. Where did you see / hear this?

This I fear is true. Although o had hoped Kolli would be given a golden opportunity to play 10?… add a bit of height and dynamism to the attacking midfield.

Of course Chair ahould be in our side, but I'm far from sure as to what position he should play. It is only a sample of 2, but I can't remember him coming close to creating a chance in either match.

As for his performance at Watford, he certainly improved in the second half, but IMO only Dembele (awful) & Smyth were worse than him in the first half. A lot of that is due to us not being able to play with three of this type of players between a midfield two & a lone forward.

And yes, Madsen was very poor as well!

He was very good when Willock was at his best. He is still a sublime player when he uses his vision and releases the ball when he should.

Right to be respectful as Chair like Field never gives less than his absolute all,

My constructive criticism of Chair, as opposed to Field, is his potential is so much higher but he nor our Coaching Staff have never been able to realise,

Head up & release the ball quicker and there was a £10m premier league level player in Chair.

A failing in our coaching & ability to develop our players.

Wouldn’t surprise me if a hamstring problem. I didn’t like watching him charging around chasing defenders down, often alone, at the start of the season. He is not built for that type of role and an injury also felt likely.

What sort of 10 is Chair, is the question. Although he sometimes delivers a deep cross into the box I'm not sure he is the sort to thread a ball into players making runs. I always saw him as a player who created a bit of space with the little bit of acceleration and dribbling skill. My worry is that little bit of acceleration has gone. If he is out injured I would like to see Vale there. When he has played he has been intelligent with how he finds space. Seems to pick the right type of pass for the situation (as in first time ball) to take advantage of the space being created and seems he can pick a pass
