Nourry In? 12:00 - Sep 15 with 4706 views | StanleyB | Have we had a good transfer window – both in and out? Have we finally solved the notoriously tricky striker issue on a shoestring budget? Things aren’t perfect, and results might not always hit the heights we’d like, but 'the project' seems to be working: high-quality players are choosing QPR when they had plenty of other options, and the squad we’ve got now is one most of us could only have dreamed of when Nourry arrived. At what point do we start chanting “Nourry In”?

Nourry In? on 13:52 - Sep 15 with 3115 views | numptydumpty | I do actually agree. When we win, not a mention, when we lose, multiple meltdowns and include myself in that also If Nourry hadnt made such a song and dance about the game model at the fans forum, and focussed on his financial role and negotiating and researching players of the right type in recruitment, he would actually have been getting feint praise, as clearly our squad is very much improved in terms of quality and quantity also. #everythingisnotmyfault #itsallaboutme

Nourry In? on 14:35 - Sep 15 with 2954 views | nix | Would be nice not to lurch from villain to hero and back again based on the last two matches. My views remain the same: some very promising aspects and some disappointing/worrying ones. Most excited about the emphasis on youth, particularly in the development squad. Still impossible to fully compare his two years with Les's ten years. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Someone get me a list of famous players. Thank you Tamara. Ok, top is Stan Bowles. That's it then, Sebastian log in as Stan Bowles... Hmm? Oh yes good call Hector, let's jazz it up, make it a bit cryptic, brilliant! Stanley Bowles, perfect, remind me to give you a pay raise. Wait what's Jasper saying? Just use the B! StanleyB! Congratulations. You're now Head of Message Board Methodology. [Post edited 15 Sep 18:13]

Nourry In? on 18:42 - Sep 15 with 2355 views | daveB | not sure 10million quid is a shoestring budget but we have had a good window and the squad looks better Much like Nix I think he's done some good stuff and a few bits which haven't worked and I'm not keen on. Time will tell on him really, I hope it goes well. [Post edited 15 Sep 18:43]

Nourry In? on 19:16 - Sep 15 with 2217 views | derbyhoop | I think Belk has to take some of the credit. Poku and Kone were in demand. However Mbengue, Vale and Burrell were left field. Not sure who's responsible for the younger players but Adamson, Akindeleni, Smith, Wilkie, Pearman and Dillon all look improvements on what went before.

It's Belks team in charge of who comes in by the sound of it, Nourry then does the negotiating with the player & club
Nourry In? on 20:47 - Sep 15 with 1966 views | BrazilNutR | The selling Kelman and buying Kone for less, could go down as one of the best bits of wheelerdeeling ever if the goalscoring of both continue at the current rate!
Nourry In? on 09:24 - Sep 16 with 1272 views | nadera78 | The OP's suggestion that criticism of Nourry comes solely from the signings we make is for the birds, it's much more connected to the way he has conducted himself over the last 2 years and how trustworthy he may or may not be.

He didn't even mention criticism of Nourry. Yet another nudge-nudge Nourry eats children post for something praising an aspect - I'd say a very important aspect - of Nourry's role. I still don't know if it's a good/great window yet, only that there are promising signs. Yet on the transfer thread people were pretty emphatically saying it was not great in August WTF, some of the players had barely started. How could they be so certain? We've been told that Nourry definitely hounded MC out whereas I've been told that he was hawking himself around the previous summer, which fits with his past management history and the fact he quickly ended up at a bigger, richer club. We've been told CN insists on a certain pattern of play, and yet JS has changed it v early on. We've been told CN picks the team and yet JS seems to be using his players v flexibly from match to match. Not saying that some criticisms are not justified at all. Not saying people shouldn't be wary. Just that some criticisms seem made up at worst and speculative at best.I wouldn't have started this thread because I think we need longer to judge for certain but he's not saying what you say he's saying. For me the jury is still out with Nourry but there are some promising signs that the ship is slowly turning.

This. Still the same guy even if we win the league or we get relegated. Doesn't mean we can't be impressed with his signings, which I am. As ever, things I like and things I don't.
