The manager carries the majority of it. Otherwise why sack Luke Williams? Was it the players fault then?
Sheehan shouldn’t be immune from criticism. No manager should.
In Williams' case it was all his fault, with sheehan i think its because he is now permanent he has changed the way we play, imo its mostlly to do with o'dea, there cant be any other explanation, he has better players at his disposal so we should be doing better.

That may well be the case and if it is, he needs to take control of the situation. Whether it’s Sheehan or O’Dea, we aren’t performing. Sheehan has shown he can do it in the past.
I’m not buying it’s the players fault or we bought badly in the summer.

I dont get this O Dea influence thing. Sheehan is the head coach his assistants should be dictating tactics etc yes offer advice but the head coach should be the one who dictates the style of play and his assisntants should assist to coach the players to follow that. It was said last season that both Sheehan and Margetson were in Williams ear and alledgedly that of Colmans trying him to be more pragmatic....yet the then head coach decided to follow his way ....eventually resulting in him losing his job. Aa head coach Sheehan needs to take a step back and look at what he did differently last season with still the majority of players he had then here and if O Dea is influencing things to the extent we are not achieving then he neess to revert to his type that got him the full time job. Im not convinced he can see what is happening given his post match interview on Saturday where he spoke of our resiliance being the key to us getting a point. It wasnt our resilience but Southamptons poor finishing ,the woodwork and Vigaroux

Or the explanation is the influence of the coach who departed Mark Fotheringham. An ex midfielder in his playing days and had had some good coaching experience Maybe it is him whonsjould take the credi fornour end of season rally Do we know whybhe didnt stay Keith?

I kind of agree with your first line.
There have been a lot of potential reasons offered for our poor form - O’Dea, recruitment team, players not taking responsibility, taking time to gel.
Reality is Sheehan lives or dies by results and to an extent performances. If they aren’t right, he needs to put them right and the buck stops with him. He got a huge amount of praise and adulation last season which he completely deserved. Now it’s going the other way a bit, it’s on him to get us functioning as a team and picking up points.
Four or six points this week and we’ll all be happy again.

I doubt any of us can...but maybe if and when the time does come hopefully the powera at be at the club have a plan
I said in another thread that if they do decide to replace him they may ditch the idea of taking on an up and coming coach because look how that's worked out. So experience may be the way they'll go.
And no, I don't have a clue either.

Points on the board at the end of the season will determine if our summer signings are "hits or misses". 75 points this season would be a success, to then push on for 85 next season. Anything less would be regarded as a failure. I cant wait for your response.
You are not sane if you think our squad hasn’t been improved everywhere but right back and we could play Ronald , Galbraith or Parker . We have got players who we’ve seen can play but they are being held back by the manager. Look at tonight’s results - Bristol City just smacked Southampton’s arses red raw and Hully beat Leicester - both teams who could have hit 5 each past us. We have the talent old man but we don’t have the manager

Let’s see if we hit that target lad.
Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I posted the below in April, and i still stand by this
'It's a tale as old as time, Interim manager does well until given the full role and ultimately fails. Happened to us with Clement being prime example, numerous times with them lot up the road. We should not be making any decisions based off the last few results, clear heads must prevail and the best person available should get the job'

Back in the summer I said we should be appointing the best man for the job, whether that was Alan Sheehan or not.
I remember Dr Winston commenting that it was one of the few things he and I agreed on.
The overwhelming opinion was Sheehan was the only man for the job, which I could understand, but certainly didn’t agree with.
I have to admit, I thought he’d do a much better job than he has so far though.

Clement wasn't interim manager, he took over after brad bobbly got rightly sacked.
