Cricket 2025 County/International Thread 13:39 - Apr 9 with 101118 views | Superhoops2808 | With the football season coming to a close in a months time, some here will turn their attention to the smell of freshly mown grass and long days sat in the hot sunny weather watching the great game of cricket. As a member of Kent Cricket Club, I got to enjoy my first match of the season against Somerset at Canterbury over the last few days. Unfortunately, as is always the way starting the season this early, the first day was lost to rain. In fact nearly all the games were affected by rain, some without a ball even being bowled. But I did manage to get to see 2 centurions at Canterbury yesterday and a very enjoyable day of cricket (even if I did get sun burned head - Yes I know should have taken a cap). Did anyone else get to see cricket over the last few days? I know we have several Middlesex supporters who no doubt enjoyed the 'runfest' at Lords (over 1300 runs I believe) [Post edited 4 Apr 13:14]

Let’s hope Archer can do something similar with the new ball later today. Looking like a bowlers pitch with 350 par for the first innings.
| Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

Cricket 2025 County/International Thread on 12:06 - Jul 11 with 1358 views | Rsole | I have found this link works quite well for anyone who wants to tune in.... https://crichdplayer.com/sky-sports-cricket-live-stream-me-1 Would advise you use a VPN as you may need to click a few times on the sound button before it works and the ads are a PITA. Same with full screening the display. Doesn't work very well for faster moving sports but for cricket, it's pretty good on a decent internet connection.

Really glad Stokes looked better this morning and was having a bowl in the nets. Lets us share the workload, so Archer can focus on those short sharp spells. Interested to see if Pant makes it out to bat as well, with that injured finger stopping him from keeping.

Great to see Jofra back bowling at 90MPH+ and what a first spell. Hope he can keep it going and add another chain to the collection. Stokes rose from the dead and Root got his ton. Jamie Smith continues to impress and the Indian team have been excellent in English conditions. Roll on day 3..

Bit emotional seeing Jof come back and get that wicket after a blistering first few balls. Felt like a proper old school day of test cricket there - really in the balance. Get an early wicket or two tomorrow morning and we're in the driving seat. Felt for Stokes - he was batting well yesterday and was unlucky to come up against a ripper from the best test bowler in the world. Hope he gets a proper score soon.

Great timing ! I hope you get to see the continuation of a really competitive game between two really evenly matched teams. Today may well be the pivotal day in the series. Enjoy the spectacle and atmosphere.

And we rubbed our hands at the Indian batting collapses.I haven’t seen much today, but 185 shouldn’t be too hard for them to get in the 4th innings.

They've batted like it's a humid, overcast day with the ball swinging round corners. 30+ degrees, perfect conditions, they should have been making the Indians chase the ball to all parts.

Seems to me a classic test where you have to play the new ball and make yer Runs between them. Can’t always be 3 or 4 down before the shine is off.
Cricket 2025 County/International Thread on 16:56 - Jul 13 with 612 views | CamberleyR | That was a pathetic last wicket, no excuse for that at all, I'd sooner he was out LBW than bowled missing a straight one, unforgivable. England have got to seriously think about Bashir. He's a virtual 70s throwback walking wicket tailender, never even got to 50 in first class cricket. Okay maybe if he was bowling sides out but he isn't. [Post edited 13 Jul 17:03]

Cricket 2025 County/International Thread on 17:01 - Jul 13 with 588 views | dm97 | Difference between the two teams is the bowling attacks. Indian seamers have got so much more out of pitches than England’s. First home summer against good oppo without Anderson and Broad, pretty telling
Cricket 2025 County/International Thread on 17:02 - Jul 13 with 586 views | Hoopstar | Here today and our batting has been woeful - Woakes running in doesn't fill one with confidence anymore either when defending a meagre total. Not one batter looked remotely comfortable and our three best players played across relatively straight and innocuous balls from Sundar. Ah well - still a nice day in the sun.
