Well that gives us a bit of cheer after a horrible week. An impressive performance from a strong QPRDS side, and a deserved win.
I particularly enjoyed watching Esquerdinha. He's impressive going forward with the swagger that goes with being Brazilian. I'm not too sure of his defensive qualities though but nonetheless, I think we'll be seeing a lot more of him.

I thought that team were really well coached. Great shape, great work-rate, great movement. And not afraid of a tackle. Furlong and Hyde deserve credit, but congrats also to their backroom team. A joy to watch.
And full credit to the players. A serious team effort.

Thought Esquerdinha, Putnam, Tuck and Bennie all very good. Sutton good on the ball in the higher areas. Dillion came on and caused their back 2 trouble. He got the penalty.
Very promising.

Well that was decent to watch after the debacle of the last 2 or 3 days. So Brentford play Southampton tomorrow night. It’s my understanding the final will either be at our ground or whoever we get in the final. Sounds like there’s various fixtures / charity games at our ground over the next few days so sounds like we are not protecting the pitch for next season.
Harrodian U18s are playing Royal Russell U18s on Friday night at 6pm in a cup final for example.

Really impressive team performance, could tell the lads were working for each other and for the team. I'll go out and bang the drum for Alfie Tuck again, he's not the most flashy player in quite a fun squad, but he's so good on the ball. Plays with an extra yard of space around him, is brilliantly calm on the ball and has a lovely passing range. I know people will call out his physicality, he's young, he has time to develop that side. But I really like him.
Very enjoyable, great to watch hoops with a threat from the left, Espradinho and Sutton clicked. Bennie looked particularly strong though got to control that temperament judging by that yellow card for the 3rd or was it 4th shove on the chest

I thought I heard Paul Morrissey say we were away in the Final.

I saw him play against Hampton and Richmond a couple of weeks ago. He was excellent. Played full back rather than DCM. Set up one of the goals with a lovely pass.

I actually thought that yellow was a highlight.
I'd agree about the earlier incidents, maybe, but it seemed to me that the one that got him the card was when one of ours went down for a head injury (ball to the face). A Burnley player came over to complain and Bennie stepped in and pushed him away. One of ours is down. Our patch. I liked that. We don't see enough of it at Rangers.

I hope he told him to rack off mate

Alfie Tuck is a big lad but agree was a presence throughout and you always felt he was going to take the best option. Very strong performance
Bennie and Morgsn too showed their strength and stamina in the second half in particular.
Anyhow let's hope they can all do likewise in the final !!

I think he's great. We don't have a deep-lying playmaker in the senior squad so he could be such a useful addition in the years to come. Tonight, he looked like he'd put on a bit of body weight. He does need to bulk up, but I'm sure the staff is working with him on it.

Yep completely agree. Hopefully the loan at Farnborough is proving useful for the physical side, can't hide at that level. Sounds like he's doing really well there though
How long before Harry Murphy gets his 1st team chance? For me he is such a stand out player in most games and a really good captain.
He got a chance last pre-season along with Bennie and Morgan but Cifuentes seemingly didn’t think he was up to much as he never gave him any more thought .
At 21 under Nourrys edict he would be up for release this summer but I would guess they might extend a few older ones through to January and let the new manager take a look next preseason

Yes, I think Esquardinha looks like he has got what it takes. I thought he was fine defensively. In fact, I thought he looked like he could easily have moved to centre back when one of the centre backs got cramp with 5 to go. He looked pretty comfortable all over the pitch to me. The other full back was good going forward also.
