Eze 09:08 - Apr 16 with 152241 views | sdm1508 | I was just wondering what people's thoughts are on him since he moved to palace. Do you think he has improved as a player and if so what areas of his game have got better since he was with us or having better players around him helped? I mean having better players around him allows for more things to actually come off for him. He might have tried something with us and the players couldn't react etc I was watching him in a game the other night and it just seems to be his consistency. His base level now seems to be a notch or two up. He doesn't have to do something amazing to effect the game
Eze on 20:37 - Aug 21 with 4513 views | connell10 | Eze will always hold a special place in my heart , he gave me great joy watching his lovely silky skills as he developed into a great player! Also he always comes across as a nice , humble ,well mannered human being which makes him even more special in my eyes! Anyway I wish the lad all the success in the world and to be honest I think Arsenal is the right club for him.

Eze on 16:48 - Aug 21 by Irish_Hoop | The release clause is nothing to do with QPR. It is (or was) a contractual term between Eze and CP. we agreed a contract in 2020 that stipulated that further proceeds would be payable to the club should a future sale occur. Let’s say that was 20% of the gross sale. Now it remains open to the parties to vary that clause by mutual agreement at any time over the past few years. So as speculated earlier, QPR may have agreed to vary the contract and reduce the sell on from 20% of gross to 15% of net in return for a payment. At the time this happened the amount that CP paid will have depended on a number of factors, primarily the likelihood of a future sale of Eze and at what price. Someone said above that the difference is as much as £6m. I’m sure CP would only do business at a price significantly lower than that. We will have to await publication of the relevant accounts to know more. |
Fair enough, I just thought it was coincidence that the widely agreed 20% suddenly changed to 15% around the same time as his release clause ended. But you're right, the sell on would be part of the sale contract and minimum release clause would be between Eze and Palace.

Best case scenario £67.5m - gross 20pc of that £13.5m

A friend when talking about large-ish sums of money would say 'Mere bagatelle'. I always smiled and concurred but was not entirely sure what it meant.

A bagatelle is something, especially an amount of money, that is small and not important | | | | Login to get fewer ads

He's not a high-volume creative passer or a dribbling sensation, but he represented far more than that. He's a player at the peak of his powers, and his signature would be a statement of intent. It would also ultimately deny Arsenal a player they coveted.” Ahem.

It wouldn't include the amount for the add on's as they have not been realised. That part would be payable by Palace only if they are achieved.
Eze on 14:33 - Aug 22 with 1970 views | PlanetHonneywood | Of course, while speculation abounds from this end, it's not inconceivable that the actual details might be more forthcoming from Palace's end.

Also a superb Irish rock band, fronted by the lamentedly now deceased Liam Reilly. And a decent sort of pin ball machine game
