looking like Halifax or southend at home…56 years after we had two massive home games against them….and we won them both.

That fixture will in itself have all the tension and energy expenditure of a playoff game, which might do us a favour

Refwatch - Solihull Moors v Rochdale on 19:20 - Apr 29 by tony_roch975 | I'll probably regret this but that looks like intelligent squad rotation (& a very strong bench if needed) |
It's easy this prediction lark and the strong bench was needed - not just for the goal but to stop Solihull's momentum in the last 15 minutes. That was a thoroughly professional performance though one or two weren't as sharp first half as on Saturday but as a team we had a stronger 2nd half. Just to stir up the style of play debate - I doubt the match would have excited many neutrals and there was certainly plenty of tippy tappy and slow patient build up; indeed it didn't grab me as an entertainment.....but who cares. We won and there's another great Play-Off night ahead!

Refwatch - Solihull Moors v Rochdale on 22:01 - Apr 29 with 3227 views | Daley_Lama | Stat-fact. We had 15 shots on target tonight. Oldham’s 15th last shot on target was against, erm, Rochdale.😀

Refwatch - Solihull Moors v Rochdale on 22:04 - Apr 29 with 3131 views | 442Dale | Excellent performance. Only criticism is would be it should have been far more than 1-0. Bar about 20 mins of the first half we dominated with attacking football. The team changes were vindicated and we didn’t look weaker for it. Rest as many as we can on Monday now if we can. Kelly, Kingdon, Ferguson,Armstrong - back three Adu Poku, Buyabu (who played well tonight) - wing backs Weston, Edwards (possibly East if he’s nearing a return - midfield Ayinde, Mitchell, Bird (for a half/60 mins again) - up front.

Oldham will beat Ebbsfleet. They'll be desperate for a home play off game. We shouldn't fear Southend, Gateshead or Halifax at Spotland.

Refwatch - Solihull Moors v Rochdale on 22:23 - Apr 29 with 2825 views | _Windydale | Thank the lord. Risky I thought leaving 5 players out of the start, as this is nothing but a brilliant result for us. Few thousand fans now get the chance to watch the game live at Spotland. Whatever happens the build up and dreams of getting to Wembley for a few weeks puts the smiles on Daleys faces. For a bit anyway. Even the grumpy kecks amongst us, will be able to crack a smile I'm sure. Lose and I think we've still done us proud this season. Win and another great few weeks. [Post edited 29 Apr 23:40]

Refwatch - Solihull Moors v Rochdale on 23:03 - Apr 29 with 2572 views | Yorkshire_Dale | Glad that's over, but to a man Dale played well. The DAZN commentators voted Barlow MOTM, with Ayinde a close 2nd.......only mention of Moors GK, Walker , keeping them in the game ,so Dale performances are being recognised away from the COA. They were very knowledgeable of matters Dale,so respect. Speaking of which a big cheer for the Referee, great effort ma'am!

Yes, a roller coaster of a season but irrespective of some of the performances McNulty can now point to the league table and put two fingers up to those who have criticised him, i am one of those. He said that performances will look after the results and in the end that's proved to be right. Some good and some bad but in the end he's fulfilled the brief and I'd like to congratulate him and the players for that. We can win the play offs if everybody believes it. [Post edited 29 Apr 23:56]

Refwatch - Solihull Moors v Rochdale on 00:13 - Apr 30 with 2260 views | Sandyman | Changes in the starting line-up. A great first 20 minutes then they sat back which we struggle against. Mitchell awful all game. Dale persevered second half and went looking for a goal which Hendo provided as only he can. Great to see we were going for a second goal - no sitting back defending a one goal lead. Their 'keeper made three superb saves to keep us out. In time added on we looked to hoof it instead of playing tippy tappy tripe. It worked. Great result that served RAFC in exactly the way we needed. Well done Jim and his players. We are guaranteed 4th place in the league and a home draw in the 1/4 final play off. We need to think of those worse off than ourselves. A certain section of Oldham fans. Those who will not be able to comprehend that Rochdale, Barnet and Forest Green Rovers have finished above them in the league table on smaller attendances. An impossible concept for them to understand. Bless.
Refwatch - Solihull Moors v Rochdale on 05:23 - Apr 30 with 1931 views | Plattyswrinklynuts | Great result & a hugely positive end to our season. Play the kids at Braintree & wrap everyone else in cotton wool prior to the playoffs. We CAN do this!!
Refwatch - Solihull Moors v Rochdale on 06:28 - Apr 30 with 1764 views | Dale_4_Life | Fantastic win. Unbeaten in 5 (4 wins and a draw so 13/15 points) Magnificent. Dont want to put a negative spin on what is becoming a great season but the Mitchell conundrum needs sorting. He could have a massive part to play for Dale at this business end of the season, last night looked a long way off the pace. I dont know if the lad needs a kick up the arse or an arm around the shoulder but Jim should know so over to him.
Refwatch - Solihull Moors v Rochdale on 06:51 - Apr 30 with 1692 views | TalkingSutty | So what we now know is that to get to Wembley and the Play Off final we will definitely have to win at Forest Green Rovers in the semi final. We can do that. Apart from a end of season kick about at Braintree the players now have a two week window to rest and prepare. Practicing penalties should also be a part of that preparation, FGR draw a lot of their games so if we do face them that could be a route through. [Post edited 30 Apr 7:56]

Refwatch - Solihull Moors v Rochdale on 08:11 - Apr 30 with 1411 views | Cedar_Room | We dominated the game and should have lead going into half time if not for some better finishing. In games gone by it’s the sort of situation you would expect us to concede a late goal out of nowhere and lose it 1-0. But we now look much more solid and it certainly never felt like Solihull were going to trouble us. The fact we got the goal and secured the points gives me hope we can grind out more results in the weeks ahead. In fact, not being able to do that when it mattered has been one of my big criticisms of McNulty. Finishing off the season in 4th place has to be seen as a successful season, no matter what happens in the play offs and despite my protestations in the past Jim has earned the right to lead us into next season. I still think we won’t have enough to get past York, but I’m optimistic we have something to really build on for a proper promotion push next season. Unless Jim proves me wrong once again….
