If John Terry ever became our manager I would be handing back our season tickets to the club. It’s going to be some coach who has come out top in Nourry’s algorithm formula.

Stanley Unwin makes sense to me.
Marti Cee for 3PO in the garden attendy lo and how do your marigolds foldy-o? Then Christian Nourybolds big announce Pep Gladioli. Much amuse and fall about a bit. No says Christian Nourrybolds all sincere and straight lace face with eyebrows in unison; Pep Gladioli again announce. But Christian on the alcopopilops and all tipsy was his data brace. Now jacket straight and white and cell all padded. Nighty night. Nighty night.

I assume that it is now impossible to get Marti back in charge. Whatever the rights and wrongs of him on gardening leave in my view he has proven his worth. And without doubt i predict he will become a successful manager wherever he ends up.
We need the next in charge to be the one who is the least likely to get us relegated. Any suggestions?

We obviously dont know what has happened in the background, but I am hoping there is still a way back for him. Just needs a bit of maturity from both sides I think.
He's only just signed a new contract so I anticipate the compensation will be quite steep for another club to take him and we shouldn't move an inch on that.
We are certainly a better club with him at the tiller than without. If it is the choice of Marti or CN, I am with Marti all day.
Please no more Ainsworth style football or interviews, not sure we can take it.

I like what you say, it makes sense and now the season is finished it is the time for talking. But that Nourry has gone as far as he has with the gardening leave and spreading his bile in the media and on this forum doesn't give me much hope that Nourry will work with Marti again.

I want Cifuentes to stay. Full stop. But he's been leaking like a sieve through a poster on this site, if that poster is to be believed. I can't see any way back, alas.

Indeed. I think it's pretty clear that Marti wants out and Nourry wants him gone. Whoever originated the rumours, they appear to be irreconcilable.

Any ideas as to when we should expect a new manager announcement?
Unless Marti leaves of his own accord, I think the club is on a sticky wicket. I think they would need to prove that Marti is in breach of contract. That might not be easy.
I want Marti to stay and I'm no expert when it comes to these things, but unless another club comes in for Marti, the situation appears very messy and could remain so for some time.
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

We can´t appoint new manager as long as Marti is on gardening leave. We have to solve that one way or another first

Who says? My experience of garden leave is the opposite, you are serving your notice at home and on call. Replacement can be recruited, with my work ( large bank) you automatically went on garden leave if you were going to a competitor. Not saying that is exactly the case here but Marti’s reps did seemingly do a dance with WBA , not even a different division. All in the contract. Agree with other posters, would love the children to make up and play football in the same playground again. More chance of the large Irish kid staying if that happened.

I wonder whether this has anything to do with why he was put on gardening leave in the first place.

And who says we cannot have two active managers, one on gardening leave and the other actually working?
It'd be an open and shut constructive dismissal employment tribunal case. Irrespective of what he did and didn't do, the club moving him aside and bringing someone in would trigger compensation and he'd win.

Constructive dismissal only applies after two years service so he won't be able to claim under that mechanism.

And if the club had proof that he had specifically broken terms in his contract?
