I suspect we'll know by the end of October how hard he's worked over the Summer Period to shape his game and fit the mould Sheehan wants. He's injury free and will have had a full pre-season. After an underwhelming 24/25 he needs to hit the ground running this term or those who still have blind faith will soon lose it.

I don’t think any of us have blind faith - he’s a full international. Any player can look bad playing under the likes of Williams and in front of reverse gear Grimes. He’s shown his finishing ability and his class and if anyone can get the best out of him it’s Sheehan. . I’m not going to say anymore apart from I truly hope he smashes the league this coming season and makes a few “supporters“ eat a large portion of humble pie.

As Fireboy says, we’ll all be happy if Vipotnik comes back a different player.

If someone could tell me something to his game I had missed, I’d listen. Blaming Williams and Grimes, who weren’t there for a quarter of the season and didn’t seem to stop Cullen contributing far more, is a bit disingenuous.

Sheehan was there all season.

Bring a supporter doesn’t mean making excuses for a near full season of sub par games. It means wanting what’s realistically best for your club. The Vipotnik of last season is not it. If he comes back a much better player, fantastic.

Nathan Broadhead is a full international. It doesn’t mean that much.
