The people have demanded and I have risen like a great big festering plague.

2 - 1 QPR

Jimmy gers his head together and heads it in.
Field taps one in.

Well lads, if you all want to chip in and get my son a season ticket I'm sure he can lend his services to future matches!

Happy to report that at 4 years old he managed to stay in his seat the whole game and absolutely loved celebrating all (multiple!) goals!

Honestly after Smyth scored I got a bit emotional celebrating his first live Rangers goal with him. Don't know why but it just hit me

Lovely! First games are such a special occasion. Glad he got to see a win and hopefully he's now got the bug.

Today’s worst take!

I said some time ago that if everyone is fit, Field doesn’t make the starting 11, and that was before we signed Hayden.

In no way was Madsen a passenger. He tackled, tracked back, won headers, was, with one notable exception, tidy with the ball and pinged a beautiful 40 yard pinpoint driven pass to split Charltons defence. One of our better players today.

Madsen we all know is slow, poor in the air and cannot tackle,

What we hope is he can be a dominant playmaker who can take control of games,

We have now set the bar so low we laud one pass, jumping for a few headers and poking his toe into a few tackles.

Madsen is going to take criticism every game. Sometimes he deserves it, sometimes he doesn't. He's been fine today, won a few tackles and played some decent passes. Shame people can't look past the bad performances and give credit when it's due.

From where I was sitting in I reckon Madsen had a decent game. That 30m pass the Smith, the free kick, picking Jimmy out on the far post. But also competing in midfield getting stuck in with feet and head. He’s never going to be an animal but he was decently assertive.
Also in the first 30 saw Dembele putting some tackles in although he faded a bit.
Overall pretty decent

£3m+ big money signing to be our playmaker,

And we're happy he made 1 decent pass in 95 minutes,

Agree it was his least worse game and a 4/10 but again I watched him & Varane closely,

One was everywhere showing for the ball, covering defensive gaps etc

One was plodding around with zero zip & energy to lose his man & show for the ball,

Rematch Saito's goal and watch Jimmy Dunne giving Madsen a proper bollocking, fairly sure he wasn't applauding his 1 decent pass.

It's almost like you want us to do badly and the club to fail. Surely time to move on now and get behind the manager and team.

I've heard the Leicester message boards need some Marti love ❤️

I find it very depressing. To have such negativity beforehand and then we win and nowhere to be seen. I just can’t understand it.

So happy for you.

That parent-child moment at a shared club, a shared family, is one of the ultimate rites of passage moments for a reason. It's real, it's gorgeous, it's everlasting.

I'm not a parent, but I've shared a similar moment with my younger sister, with nieces, with nephews and with godchildren.

But I've only shared it once at Rangers, with my sister Debs. It bonded us instantly and for ever since.

And a win as well. It's a results business!!

Credit to the squad today. Dug in, fought, played with pride and even some flair at times. Thought Madsen was much better today. Saito was such a joy to watch, full of creativity, pace, intent.

Mbuengue was solid in the back, and looked a decent pairing with Morrison. The goal, not sure of, felt like Walsh just misread the contact and thought it was going wide? Head scratcher.
Kone looks like a classy player for this level. Reminds me of the horse that just looks the part in the paddock, and grinds out performances. Glad to see him get 90 min today, but wonder about his pace.

All in all, great to not start the day in a crap mood. U Rssssss

Can’t wait for one of Esquerdinha’s 40 yard thunderbastard shots to go in. He’s tried his luck from distance twice in games that I’ve seen.

Little known fact that Esquerdinha is in fact Brazilian for thunderous fatherless shot

I think because its chalk and cheese from last week.

There were very good signs today, but think because the board had a collective total melt down last week, we are all a bit wary to be too excited.

But yes thought a lot to like about today.

Unbeaten at home too.

I think probably give it a rest. He has had a good game, certainly better than most of our team and done what was asked of him by the manager. Not dreadful, not Ronaldo but a decent enough showing. Hopefully settling down now and working hard.

Charlton League 1 level hit & hope opposition and had nearly 60% possession!

We were being over run most of the game and needed Field

Madesen was a passenger again and we won't play teams as poor as Preston & Charlton too often this season.

Run over? Madsen passenger?
Had about 15 min period we were not that sharp and Madsen did more in this game than Field has done this season. We can win games with out Field and Chair.
That is proven.

Give Dunne a chance. Missed a few weeks with injury. Finding his fitness and rhythm

Also he was up against Campbell who I thought was a real handful. He dealt with him well enough that he swapped sides in the second half. At that point Dunne was able to push up more.

Bizarre isn’t it. The amount of people who only come on here after a loss. Genuinely weird psychology behind it.

Couldn’t make it today for the first time in about a year. I’ll stay away.

Delighted with the win, thought we were a tad fortunate and Charlton had way too much of the ball for my liking.

RND was a little underwhelming. Esquerdinha is mental and I love him for it. Out of the two, the latter has the potentail.

Madsen, from my point of view, played fairly well. He's a frustrating watch, as he's techincally sound, but just seems to be intermittent with effort.

Smyth and Saito though (Pocket SAS) were vital in our win today.

Saito especially. Is No. 10 his position to lose?

And Koné can properly finish. First time i've seen him in the flesh. He's bigger, stronger and a little slower than I thought. although Burrell with another decent cameo gives us pace. I know it's passé but i'd love to see them play up front as a 2.

A win's a win. U Rs!

Bit old school but we would rip them apart with two up top.

This praising Madsden, are you here or watching it on TV? I just wonder if it looks different at home rather than looking at the entire game and positioning. That's not me being smart either 👍

Can I be a little bit smug now please?

Mate, just enjoy the result. Stephan gets his first win. Saito scored a great goal in his first match back with us and was the MotM for me. Kone scores again for the 2nd game on the trot and looks the real deal 🙏🏻. Nathan Jones had a meltdown (again). Kelman is shit. Ground was bouncing and happy faces everywhere in stark contrast to last Saturday. Enjoy it lad FFS. COYRs!!!!

It was touch and go but the usual suspects can't help but find fault

I couldn't believe the bench we had today... I remember the days when we were giving one year contracts out as the transfer window was shutting as we couldn't get anyone better in...

The absolute scenes after the Koki, Kone goals and the final whistle..

FFS enjoy it for the next two weeks as we will have an audience of millions watching us then...

2025/2026.... Keep Calm, no matter the season, we'll follow our team.....

The pure joy between Smyth/Saito’s post game, especially when competing for the same minutes is refreshing to see.

Not a perfect performance by any stretch, BUT we competed with and actually beat another Championship side.
