A Kelmanation of errors QPR vs Charlton Athletic Match Thread on 14:33 - Aug 30 by Hooping_Mad | Richard 'Real Deal' Kone. Some player we have, clever quick and crisp. |
He is actually slower than I thought. The difference is, he is so strong and always on the move. When he was running through for his goal, I reckon even if he was caught they wouldn't get him off the ball. Does everything though. Holds its up, can come deep and start the play, run through and score

A Kelmanation of errors QPR vs Charlton Athletic Match Thread on 14:39 - Aug 30 with 2766 views | DWQPR | Got to mention Burrell. I like him a lot and his pace and energy caused their defence a lot of problems when he came on. And if he doesn’t get credited for an assist for Kobe’s goal then there is no justice. Just watch him nick the ball past the two Charlton defenders for Kone to run onto. Great touch. Glad for the win but there is a still a lot to do. Far from convinced by Verane’s performances over the last two games, seems at times he hasn’t got a brain. Dembele should look at himself. Lazy, half-hearted unless he has a clear run with the ball and I think it was shameful that when he was substituted he just trudged off, for Christ sake, we are drawing at home against a poor side and getting overrun and he just trudges off! And if anyone doubted the wisdom of signing Saito. That lad turned the game completely. Competed, put his foot in where it hurt, drew fouls, had one great shot saved and scored what in reality was the winner. If all our players had the same attitude as him we would walk this league.

Great result , great win and great togetherness, reminiscent of Oxford away . Verged on emotional as the team were walking round. Sounds ridiculous right ? Just thought they have got pelters all week so they deserve to enjoy that . Lesson number 1 Win football matches first and foremost . The ‘project’ and the methodology will then follow . What a great feeling for once

Not a perfect performance but considering how that could have gone and our tendency to go into death spirals, absolutely ecstatic with that, especially the level of commitment that the players showed when they could have gone into their shells. And delighted for Saito, best player on the pitch by a distance when he came on

Keeper needs dropping before one of our defenders murders him. Midfield today would be too lightweight for the better sides in this division. I still think Madsen isn't good enough, but will admit he played better today. Would love to know why Dembele seemingly can't get fit. Kelman is looking like the one season wonder the club clesrly thought he was. Rare bit of brilliant business to get 5 million for him and replace him with a superior player. Happy with 3 points and hope it injects some confidence in the squad

You'd definitely take Kone ahead of Kelman based on the last few weeks
A Kelmanation of errors QPR vs Charlton Athletic Match Thread on 14:59 - Aug 30 with 2049 views | Wilkinswatercarrier | Boom! Much better. A bit more grit and determination especially after they equalised. Subs worked a treat, though I'm surprised JS could hear CN instructions as to when to make them. Kone, what a unit and a lovely finish. Almost Ferdinand like. Madsen played the whole game and did well. Varane not up to speed yet. Dembele. Shocking performance and attitude yet again. When Poku and Chair are back he's not getting in this team.

"If all our players had the same attitude as him we would walk this league. " Absolutely! On paper we have a very good team. Yet on the pitch , on the whole, they underperform. I thought Dembele was very poor today. I cant see him being a 'starter'. He's far too lightweight in all aspects. Dunne looked like he was knackered at half time. Defence was very sloppy at times. Menbengue lucky to still be on the pitch. Brain fades! Walsh totally at fault for their goal. Impressed by Smyth, Kone, Saito and especially Norrington -Davis. Pleased that on the whole we have abandoned the 100% playing out from the back. the few times we tried we gave them the ball in very dangerous positions. We luckily got away with those mistakes. Charlton infinitely a poorer team than Coventry We will need a better performance than today to get anything at Wrexham. But, it was an improvement. They must use the next 2 weeks to gte the fitness levels up. Start Saito ahead of Demebele. Start Hayden ahead of Madsen. Start Nardi ahead of Walsh.

There will be plenty of mentions for Kone and Saito, but for me the most pleasing aspect was the commitment and the fast start - definitely a reaction. What a difference a week makes.

A Kelmanation of errors QPR vs Charlton Athletic Match Thread on 15:22 - Aug 30 with 1596 views | EuroRanger | Absolutely buzzing after that. Was it the perfect performance? No. But we showed battle and some mental and physical strength to go and get a win today. Also excellent performances from the new boys, really looked a lot better today. Would like to see Smyth get a long-term deal given that he really brings something as a squad player. Not every player needs to be a development job. And Saito's goal? That kind of sexy filth shouldn't be allowed on television before the watershed...
