I'm feeling a little sorry for Eom. You can sense the usual thickies sharpening their knives in anticipation of making him scapegoat of the season but for me it comes down to two things.

#1. He's not fast enough to be a winger. Similar problem with Ronald, but he's getting the goals at the minute. For me Eom is a much better option to fill that central midfield attacking role I'd like to see.

#2. Confidence. Same as for Vipotnik, when Eom is feeling it he's easily a top end Championship forward. Last season if he'd jinked into a little bit of space like he did a couple of times today he'd have let fly. Now he seems wary of doing so.

On the Eom point, yes he’s a flair player and yes, he’s probably better infield.

In that situation though, he’s got to be protecting Tymon. They were pumping diagonals in from that side and it got much easier for them when Inoussa went off and Eom didn’t put a shift in helping his fullback.

Right position or not, which I agree with you on, that’s not acceptable.

I don't want the goal keeper to be MOM, high balls into the six yard box should be his, yes we have a 6 foot plus giant in Bugress but given the leeway to both teams to push opposition off the ball by thr ref meant we had to deal with the aftermath of challenges, Vigouroux claimed he high ball once from memory and killed their forward momentum flat.
We didn't deal with the long balls and didn't kill them off

Exactly on Vigs. Have a look at Hull's first goal on the replay from behind. He starts to come forward, then stops, then comes another 2 steps, dithers and allows McBernie an easy finish. It was Vigs ball all along. He is far too indecisive all along.

To be fair it was a cracking cross into the danger area, we lost our shape in the lead up to it, leaving Vipotnik trying to get back on the right hand side, will have to look at highlight to find out what happened to our defenders.

Ive seen a clip from the Hull end, we were wide open and caught out, 2 brilliant passes from them and we were lost.

As good as Galbraith has been I think Stamenic would have made the difference yesterday. We gpot bullied a bit with the ref ignoring fouls on us but giving stuff to Hull, like just before their goal.

We definitely missed that bit of physicality, both from him and not having the option of Fulton on the bench.

Taking Yalcouye off for Cullen cost us massively.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Edit as it should have read very "unusual" to be so wide open under Sheehan not "usual" amended now

That was how I saw it. Very unusual to be so wide open under Sheehan and all for killing teams off but you don't leave yourself that wide open.
One point to note was as we strive to create moves deep within our half they had numbers high up the pitch and any missed passes could be severely punished still think our midfield and fullback at times push up too early, trying to be offensive while leaving gaps that need to have someone doing the covering.

If you look at the positives we were able to breakdown a well organised defence by different methods of attack going forward, downside we let ourselves be pegged back.

So in your opinion conceding 14 goals in 5 games is a side with a well organised defence.

We have defended just as well under Sheehan, even under Cooper we conceded late goals as well as winning games late on, it happens.
Bitterly disappointing to concede two goals which is the first time this season in competitive games, picked off with the first and the second inevitable given the number of opportunities we gave them in the penalty area.
As for pinning them back, Idah looked as if the ball would stick to him initially but under the high ball clearance that we adopted became less effective, we were losing the battle in midfield with our three attacking midfielders Widell, Cullen and Eom, would I have brought the three on in the situation we found ourselves, no, I would have left at least one of Franco or Yalcouye on and maybe Vipotnik, I would have looked to bring on a defender on most probably Casey.
We left ourselves defensively short trying to use too many attackers on the pitch.
I would not have left Inoussa on given his return from injuries and the fact he lots like one of our best attacking threat we cannot afford to lose.

Taking Yalcouye off just made Galbraiths job impossible - losing that energy in the middle really allowed Hull to take control of the match and the equalizer was inevitable from then on. Franco seems to be a bit subdued - almost like he’s not quite sure what his role is in the new set up.
Again I’ll rave about Inoussa - his ability to pick the right pass in the final third is now becoming a hallmark. He never looks hurried and 99 % seems to make exactly the right decision. Very strong physically and a bit of pace too - he’s a tremendous acquisition and alongside Galbraith and Stamenic three great pieces of transfer business.

Cabango messed up - looked for all the world Cabango was going to cut out the cross so Vigoreaux stayed back. If you look at the aftermath you’ll see Cabango punching the ground knowing it was his balls up. He was left of the post so if he’d connected it was only a corner and we might have gone on to win. His interventions later in the game were superb just that mistake which cost us.

Have a look and see where Key was for the first goal if you want to see indecision does he leave the winger to go to the oncoming fullback or stay with winger or try and get across the anticipated path of the ball.
Did Cabango let it go thinking Vigouroux would get it and he might deflected the ball into the goal wrong footing Vigouroux.
We all make mistakes. The problem is when a number of players make them, Chaos induced by good pressure play of the quick ball.

I think it’s the unwritten (or maybe written) rule that if a player has a chance he should prevent a cross coming into the six yard box. Or maybe it’s just me that thinks leaving the ball get into their CF isn’t going to have a good outcome.

By the way I’d be furious if I was Sheehan that Vipotnik was the player to try to chase down their winger when Key was just jogging back doing f all.

Key gets a free pass on here which baffles me to be honest. If they play Parker against Forest and he plays well maybe he should get the nod at Birmingham

What concerns me is both Key and Tymon both get stuck in situations where they have wingers in control of the ball running at them too often. In the last minutes of the game Tymon had the player running at him too often. Cut out the cross field ball with better marking or if you are going to defend deep make sure the flanks are blocked off with numbers.

Checked the footage and it does look as if Cabango id have a 50/50 chance of getting to the ball.
What concerned me was how long Vipotnik and Ronald swapped positions for, we had a free kick which Vigouroux took the ball then ended back with Vigouroux to clear which he did to our left, as possession was lost Vipotnik realised with Ronald in the centre forward position that he had drifted infield too far leaving the full back spare, he did try and get back but quick ball in front of the fullback meant he could come onto it at pace and get his cross in early before Vipotnik or other midfielders could close him downdown.
As I have said before you can sometimes get away with one mistake but when a number are made then good play or players punish those mistakes. Looked as if players switched off before half time. We see it so often by many teams.

Our fullbacks aren’t the best at defending,Key in particular is very poor,he’s a wingback not a classic right back and always struggles against even average wingers , both our fullbacks are always about 15/20 yards off the wingers when the opposition have the ball the wingers are then always allowed to be picked out by balls played wide and run at us and usually get a ball into our box,on the other hand our wingers seem to be marked properly and rarely have the time and space that we afford the opposition, it seems to be a part of the modern game that fullbacks don’t mark tightly.
When we turn the ball over we also seem to give the opposition space to run at us from centre midfield and just back off instead of standing our ground and putting tackles in
It’s a big concern that We give teams too many opportunities to put crosses in from out wide or deep but is something we should be able to work on in training
