Saito 14:51 - Sep 20 with 3259 views | Superhoops2808 | Gotta say, and I know I am biased as without doubt my favourite player, but anyone here who thought the re-signing of Saito was a big mistake needs their head examining. He is without doubt an even better player than when he played for us last season - And you know what? This time he is OURS Well played today and without doubt MOM for me

Saito on 14:54 - Sep 20 with 2709 views | priceyparkrangers | I wasn’t that excited about him signing (mainly due to the fee!) but completely proven wrong and so so happy to be wrong He’s been absolutely electric and he hasn’t even had a pre season

I thought it was an unnecessary signing. However, he seems to have improved a lot after last year's loan spell. Assuming he stays fit, he is close to being undroppable. I have to admit I was wrong.

Saito on 19:19 - Sep 20 with 2027 views | Bluce_Ree | I like the way he just pointlessly shoots from anywhere. I'm not even being sarcastic. I like it. Keep blasting them in and see what happens. All it takes is for the keeper to make a howler and then we've got him. Psychological torture, baby.
| Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. |

I thought the same at the time. I thought the money could have been used to strengthen other areas, lots of us did. I wasn't upset we signed him, his energy and enthusiasm was definitely something we needed. Glad he's performing well, it's uplifting seeing him enjoying himself. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Saito on 20:32 - Sep 20 with 1861 views | LazyFan | He was signed when we were crying out for LB. Has pushed on from last season and is now even better, has no fear against any oppo player and will attack and take them on. Chair better come with his A game or hes staying on the bench.

Absolutely - you don't shoot, you don't score. It's impossible not to like Saito. His speciality of driving towards the line that many just can't stop is amazing, but he is just so good to what and the way he links up with the rest of the team is brilliant.

Saito on 23:09 - Sep 20 with 1572 views | HotCurrie | He made the difference today against a very decent Stoke side. He's half the size of most of the guys marking him but utterly fearless and tough as old boots. He's like a weeble, try to knock him down but he just keeps going. It gives everyone confidence and opens up gaps where there shouldn't be gaps. Also, how does he manage to win so many headers against behemoths?
Saito on 00:19 - Sep 21 with 1416 views | numptydumpty | Yes has an amazing leap. Swallow - esque... And has added strength and can remarkably win one on one battles against players twice his size. Such an endearing character too. Not words you hear to describe many football players today either. Jack in a box, joker in the pack, the wild card, or the missing link - all could be used for this so so happy man. Love this very honourable little chap. Loves it here and as Ollie would say in his prime- more than a little " man love". Cult hero already. [Post edited 21 Sep 0:20]

Saito on 06:32 - Sep 21 with 1126 views | EuroRanger | I wasn't sold on the signing because I felt like it was a lot to spend on a position that we were already loaded up in. Happily munching down on my words every Sunday for breakfast with a nice glass of orange juice...
Saito on 06:47 - Sep 21 with 1080 views | QPROslo | He's a great little player, for me better than all our other "midget" forwards both last season and so far this, because he's technically very good, quick over short distances and pretty good defensively. Only Smith has that defensive attribute of the others but lacks a little technically. It was a no brainer signing him permanently when we could afford to.
Saito on 07:10 - Sep 21 with 1008 views | NorthantsHoop | He is now making us tick and deliver going forward. Some very slick passing and movement, he can operate left, right and drive through the middle as well. Think even though he is a little fella his physicality has improved from last season, exciting times ahead with Mr. Saito.
Saito on 07:24 - Sep 21 with 957 views | HammersmithR | He’s just a Rangers type player. Gets fans off their seats. Plays with a smile on his face. Can’t see Chair getting in the side now. I like Chair, but he doesn’t half slow us down when we play.
Saito on 08:10 - Sep 21 with 825 views | hoops_legend | I think he's absolutely great and will become a culture icon for us and I thought this after the first few weeks of seeing him play. I could not believe some fans on here didn't want him back and said we had enough of players in his position but a lot of people didn't want taarabt either so not always sure fans are most qualified for the right opinion! He has got even better post signing

Saito on 08:24 - Sep 21 with 770 views | BrizR | On strength, watch the goal yesterday - just before he puts the cross in, he shoves Seko out of the way to stop the block. He's added that physicality to his obvious skil on the ball and it's paying off nicely.
Saito on 08:37 - Sep 21 with 688 views | DWQPR | And mat I add to this his heading ability. Given his height the number of times he out jumps players much taller than him. And every time he gets fouled he gets up with a big smile on his face. Love the lad, best signing of the summer as he brings a natural enthusiasm that you can see affects the rest of the team.

Saito on 08:42 - Sep 21 with 673 views | davman | He is great, but whether anyone "wanted" him back was all down to affordability. Like Edwards. Both fantastic and I'd want them here, but if they signified a return to the gamble Austin, Steffan and De Wijs were, then it has to be a no; those three years were hard following QPR. However, if the Saito deal is affordable and doesn't significantly constrict us, fantastic business. Lovely to watch...

I think the other difference with Saito compared to Austin etc is that he is a lot younger, room to get better and theoretically much better chance of making your money back or selling for a profit.

Ah still trying to see justify your logic about Saito. I’ll take it up. The reasons there is no comparison with Austin and Johansen is Saith is 3 times the player, 7 years younger - and we’ve got Eze money. So £2.5 million is and always will be an absolute bargain. The guy is special. The main problem many people had is they’d completely missed how skilled and brilliant he is and just thought he ran around a lot. That has been conclusively put to bed.

In fairness to Chair, he really didn’t have a lot to work with last season, or previous seasons. He has no excuse now however, two great strikers along with Saito and Vale who have great engines and are technically excellent. All of a sudden we have an array of attacking talent on our hands. Famine to feast is an understatement. How did that happen? Must be something to do with a certain project we’re working on.

I get your point, but a gamble at BETTER odds is still a gamble. All I said was that Saito and Edwards would be brilliant signings if we can afford them. If we can, excellent business as there is everyone chance we'd sell them on. If we can't (or because the curse kicks in and then get injured) then it'd be terrible. Overall I am delighted Saito is here. £2.5m sounds much better than £5m...
