Rest of the Championship thread 11:07 - Aug 10 with 241933 views | Hunterhoop | Toyed with this idea last season. Shall we have a thread to discuss, comment on, cover the rest of the league? A place to discuss other teams’ results, performances, financial implosions, etc? For example, last night, anyone catch either of the first two games? I didn’t. But somewhat surprised/worried Blackburn scored 4 given how they are meant to struggle. Was it Derby being utter sh*te? Sounds like Preston are continuing in the same vein of being incredibly dull. Clive, what do you think? Worth making a sticky? Might reduce the number of threads to manage.

Yeh Sky have really fcked it. Even leaving it to the absolute death, and refusing to tell us 3 weeks out from the games, they've fcked it.
Rest of the Championship thread on 22:20 - Apr 21 with 2247 views | Watford_Ranger | Preston v Plymouth too. Preston all of a sudden in trouble with that and Bristol City away. Possibly ok as they are but probably need a point.

Sky already calculating just how many Ryan and Rob’s Wrexham games they can show next Championship season now that Wycombe have sht the bed.
Rest of the Championship thread on 08:00 - Apr 22 with 1816 views | Harbour | Still very tight at the bottom looks like Plymouth and Cardiff most at risk. Then Anyone from Luton Derby Hull Oxford up to Preston on 49. Preston look checked out could see them going.
Rest of the Championship thread on 10:13 - Apr 22 with 1648 views | daveB | I did say 49 points wasn't enough :-) That win at Preston was big for us as teams at the bottom always hit form this time of the season. Preston now look in a world of trouble as they have gone for the season whilst Luton, Derby, Plymouth and Hull are all picking up points, they should be OK in the end but a nervy week ahead for them Plymouth were really robbed at Boro, that gap should be smaller as well | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Ultimately 49 points likely *will* be enough. Most Plymouth & Cardiff can get to is 49 with crap goal differences, so you would need Luton *and* Derby to both get 4 points from their last 2 games to beat that number with their goal differences. Ultimately, imo, Plymouth, Cardiff and Derby will go all under 49. Would be hilarious to see Luton drop though.

Leeds could be mid-table and playing another mid-table team both with nothing to play for and they would still show that rather than an absolute cliff hanger game at either end of the table. As also said, SkySportsLeeds will now be replaced with SkySportsWrexham. What will make it even funnier is they are a club with little history and a tiny ground so SkySportsWrexham will have so little to go on we'll just see endless re-runs of that FA Cup win over Arsenal in '92 until we are sick of it.
Rest of the Championship thread on 11:28 - Apr 22 with 1469 views | TheChef | Had the er 'pleasure' of watching the Leeds game yesterday - Stoke were not so much on the beach as two weeks into an all inclusive. Absolute shambles in the first half and Leeds took full advantage. Brown envelopes anyone? Can't see us getting anything against Burnley when they still have the title on the line.

Why? Looking from the outside we’ve finished below them twice under Marti can’t see their fans being too impressed or at Norwich either!

Progressive manager, plays good football, has shown what he can do with a limited squad. Another Spaniard like Corberan who also did well with them. Maybe they'll go for Allardyce instead?

Not a lot of money to spend though so that would put him off. Think he’d be more interested in the Norwich job. Both of them would be seen as a bit of a step up for him so would be interesting to see what he does if they come calling.
