Toyed with this idea last season. Shall we have a thread to discuss, comment on, cover the rest of the league? A place to discuss other teams’ results, performances, financial implosions, etc?

For example, last night, anyone catch either of the first two games? I didn’t. But somewhat surprised/worried Blackburn scored 4 given how they are meant to struggle. Was it Derby being utter sh*te?

Sounds like Preston are continuing in the same vein of being incredibly dull.

Clive, what do you think? Worth making a sticky? Might reduce the number of threads to manage.

Tom Cleverley has left Watford. Because they are always one more manager away from glory there

Poll: Moses Odubajo - Stick or Twist?

And they tend to like Spanish managers...

Cleverly gone at Watford surprise surprise. Did well to last that long

Bristol City v Sheffield United. Gary Weaver has nearly self combusted with excitement trying to get all his keywords into his pre-match spiel: what an absolute cockwomble weapon of a commentator he is.

Go on Bristol.

“Life changing” apparently.

Great decisions by the officials with a complicated early disallowed goal, no need for a 5 min VAR delay.

Surprising myself by how much I want Bristol City to win this with a Sinclair Armstrong last minute cracker - always had a great time down there and they could do with it.

Rob Dickie classic. Gets caught wrong side and gets all handsie. Always done it. Got sent off at Barnsley v early on for us doing it. Definite pen, could perhaps have left him on but not much debate for me.

100% a pen and a red for me. Dickie is beaten and resorts to dragging him down, seen it loads with him

Was the red for denying a clear goal scoring opportunity?
Not up to pace with the newish rules mate.
Definitely a penalty.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

Dickie sent off and 1-0 to Sheffield Utd at ht.
He grabbed Moore when he was in the box so red card for me.

Yep Dickie has only got himself to blame.
Sheffield should coast it now despite not having a single player who is anywhere near Premier League standard. A forward line of Brewer, Moore and Campbell.

You’ve got to be making a genuine attempt to play the ball for that. Difficult to argue that when you’re tackling a bloke in a way they don’t allow in rugby any more.

Dickie’s old weakness surfacing again: getting the wrong side, getting very handsy, and getting sent off as the last man.

Yes on for Wells, which is even weirder unless Wells is injured. Surely you want them both on. Wells to actually perhaps score a goal and Sinclair to run around being caught offside.

Never knowingly right.
Poll: How long before new signings become quivering wrecks of the players they were?

Was just typing that SU don’t look like taking advantage of this to kill off the tie and removing Wells might be a masterstroke if it keeps him fresh with only a goal to get back away.

Now they’ve got Armstrong looking like a Soccer Aid celebrity striker up against the ex-pros.
