Rest of the Championship thread 11:07 - Aug 10 with 233393 views

Toyed with this idea last season. Shall we have a thread to discuss, comment on, cover the rest of the league? A place to discuss other teams’ results, performances, financial implosions, etc?

For example, last night, anyone catch either of the first two games? I didn’t. But somewhat surprised/worried Blackburn scored 4 given how they are meant to struggle. Was it Derby being utter sh*te?

Sounds like Preston are continuing in the same vein of being incredibly dull.

Clive, what do you think? Worth making a sticky? Might reduce the number of threads to manage.

Cracking result for Luton at Derby that blows the relegation scrap wide open.

Whatever happens in today's match with Preston we're guaranteed to be at least 7 points clear of the drop zone with 3 to play. Hopefully, we'll be mathematically safe with a win at Deepdale.

I reckon that they are so traumatized by their last couple of visits to the "Promised land"...they don't want to go up. Southampton might feel the same way next season too. All three who go up will continue the recent trend of dropping straight back again. It's a painful experience...if a financially pleasant one.

Wednesday have been on the beach for a few weeks so usually form vanishes when that happens. Look at Norwich today letting in 5 at home to Pompey who have been poor away.

I live in Luton and so a few of my friends here are local fans. My mate here said they played really well first half and Derby were terrible and then in the second half he said he aged a 100 years watching them cling on. I get that completely. It is now fascinating to watch from our easy chair what happens in that bottom 3. It's the bottom 5 now to be honest. I think Plymouth may have had it but any of the 4 above them could go. It will be interesting to see what happens between Luton and Bristol City on Monday. If Bristol win it they pretty much cement their play off place. If Luton win it I reckon they'll escape.
