The squad was unbalanced even before the injuries. It is going to be difficult to select a competitive line-up from whatever we have availability now.
I don't like predicting failure but I'm not sure how we could get a positive result here. I mean, try and pick an XI from who's available and you end up with something like:
Nardi; Dunne, Paal, Edwards, Morrison; Varane, Colback, Field; Smyth, Yang; ??????
Who's left? Andersen, Madsen (please God no), Bennie, Fox, Morgan... er... Connor from the box office, Jude the Cat, Mavis who does the teas, Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, Grubb. And even Grubb is doubtful since the away match at Camberwick Green. |

We actually let one of the Pughs go in 2020, when their contract was mutually terminated, and after spells at Shrewsbury and Clitheroe, he has retired 
In other news, while out and about in my Smarkets QPR top, I bumped into Mel Johnson. I had never met him before and only knew it was him when he clocked my top and introduced himself. He was happy to wax lyrical about Rangers and seemed a decent bloke.

If we can shoot when there are defenders before us, as well as we shoot when practicing and there aren't,
If we can kick out from goal kicks and the ball not go into touch, ot to one of the opposition,
If we can throw the ball by passing it over our heads with two hands and not crossing the line,
If we can stay away from their defenders knowing that the closer we get, they will fall over and draw a foul,
If we can be inventive at free kicks instead of pumping the ball as a lottery into a pile of tall defenders,
If we can take any corners we get by ensuring it doesn't go straight into the hands of the goal keeper or hit the head of the first defender and yet, still be aware of the break away,
If Colback can avoid a needless red card, and Nardi can claim high balls by just reaching out with his hands, THEN, AND ONLY THEN ........
We may get a draw or sneak a win!
