As they have already started, we need a thread. Suspect most of these will be wrong/clickbait sites, but lets store them in one place.

Kelman hadn't done anything for us in his previous, very limited appearances. He had an outstanding season in L1 last year.

As a selling club, there probably isn't a better time to cash in. And, I'm guessing that is what the club plan to do. Of course, if he ends up at another Championship club and tears it up, we are going to look very foolish.

If he does go, then we need to get the best fee we can, e.g. more than Dykes or Armstrong. And we also need to protect ourselves with a sizeable sell-on?

It appears that a deal for Ba from Schalke is virtually done and we are still interested in Nkada from Ligue 2 Rodez and Tovide from Colchester. Either/both could be a Kelman replacement.

Well it's definitely the last time to sell him for something decent(ish) before his price plummets after 1 September.

If we get £3/3.5m which is the rumour that Charlton have paid for Kelman then no one should be moaning at that. That's a great bit of business if true.

I mean, what clubs have come in for him? Luton and that MLS team, that says a lot as to how highly he is rated by those outside the club. Grab the money and run.

We might even be able to buy a CM that can pass.

I’m not sure that’s “great business”. It’s simply the market rate for a young, English goalscorer who won league 1 golden boot. I’d expect nothing less than 3m with supposedly only 1 year left.

In fact, given Richard Kone at Wycombe only had 18 months left on his deal in Jan and reportedly Luton had a 6m bid turned turned down, 3m doesn’t seem like a great fee. I’d say undercooked.

Strikers - especially young ones and goal-scoring ones, even in the division below, cost millions.

He's had one season in L1 which he did well, that's it. He couldn't get ahead of Dykes, Gray, Celar, Kolli etc. Never scored a goal for us.

Brutally, he's not that good. If he was we wouldn't be receiving bids from Luton or Charlton. It'd be Ipswich etc.

Apparently Kelman has deleted anything QPR related from his socials. If the case, seems pretty nailed on that he's leaving

You very well know he has improved.

Last season for him was by far his most successful season.

Saying he is not that good. He wasn't previously but he has clearly gone up a couple of levels in terms of achieving and as yet it's unknown a s to how he could potentially could do at championship level now, after improved form, but there is evidence he would do much much better than previously, as you very well know.

Beyond this though is we are selling him, i am certain, even if personally I dont agree with this like many others.

I'm disappointed so many people on here believe that professional footballers are only interested in money, and will put their feet up when a big enough contract arrives. Particularly when so much evidence points in the opposite direction.

Do you see the 20+ year-olds at the top of the PL just going through the motions after they've signed an eight figure contract? Not often, or even at all. People tend to have pride in their craft, be they dancers, engineers, bricklayers or footballers. Sure the rewards are nice, but they're not why they do what they do. They do it because they've been blessed with a recognised set of rare skills they need to exploit. Failing to do so would disappoint not only those who support them but, more importantly, it would be a permanent self-inflicted wound.

Never said he hasn't improved. He clearly has as when we bought him he was at Southend in L2/NL.

If he was that good he wouldn't be getting bids from L1 would we though?
Where are the bids from top Championship teams? Where is the £4m bid?

We will replace with better and I'm looking forward to it. The loan has worked excellently as he has developed and we can cash in.

Yeah, it might not be him angling for a move, it might not be his contract situation, it might be our management thinking he's just not good enough for this level, cash in and get on a couple more.....we need pace, imo.

Well your argument counters itself, in that we getting bids at our level or lower so from clubs with less opportunities to offer more money.

Top championship clubs have more money to spend and have players guaranteed more likely to perform as they have done it before.

Again your argument doesn't add up.

But he is being sold and think to finance a couple of new players.

Do you think they've got £68m down the back of the couch by any chance?

The lesson here for QPR is to get young lads out early and into good loans, so they return with enough time on their contract to see if they're can step up.

Which we did with Chair and the fella no one wants to buy at Palace. I don't think we've ever really rated Kelman, who suddenly starts banging them in for fun, returns with a year left of his contract and maybe wants out. Whereas Lloyd and Walsh, should have been out ages ago.

So given that we have some young talent, the hope is Rangers get them out early to develop and return as well as Chair, Eze, and Kelman have. That said, if we let a lot out now, we look even more threadbare.

So let me get this straight - I understand why we are selling Kelman if he won't sign a contract. But, unless I have missed a signing, does that mean that currently we are going into this season with a WORSE striking line up than last season? Instead of Celar, Frey and Dykes, we've got....Frey and Celar?!

My word. And Nourry wants me to sit through an hour of his psychobabble, but he's overseen this situation, with 2 weeks to go until the new season?

Sigh.

It sounds like there are a few signings up front in the works. Perhaps we're waiting to get these over the line before letting the Kelman sale go through.

I would put a lot of money on the fact that we will have a new striker or two by the start of the season.

Whether they are any good or not is a different matter.

Certainly sounds that way, the Nourry transfer tombola charges on, the strategy seems to be if you get enough new players through the door the law of averages says a couple of them should make the grade.....

The plan is to merge Dembele and Ba to create a new Demba Ba and sell ‘it’ to Chelsea.

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?
