As they have already started, we need a thread. Suspect most of these will be wrong/clickbait sites, but lets store them in one place.

An unfair comparison I feel. God knows Connolly has his issues, but seems to make himself available to play unlike TR. I would really like to know what's going on with him (Connolly not Roberts)

His only goal for Millwall came against us. If he had a really good preseason then maybe...

More likely having failed to go up, imho. He'll do well for them at this level if it happens. Sadly.

A bit contentious for some on here, but why is it disappointing if he goes?
It creates a space for a better player to come in. He's not that amazing.

I really don't get the Jimmy Dunne w*nk fest some seem to have for him. He can't pass, can't run, turning circle of an oil tanker.
He is a typical Sheff Utd/Chris Wilder type player.
It says a lot about how gash we are that he got PotY.

Not often we get a player regularly making the kind of game changing contributions JD has this season
Best rightback we've had since Kyle Walker, and with seemingly something to prove - either to us or himself
I shall miss his energy and passion, and I shall have to return to shitting bricks if we concede a corner again without him winning everything
Do you really think Nourry is going to adequately replace him ? Where on the gash scale will we be without him ?

Whilst not a Clive Wilson to Spuds on a free moment, which as a 14 yo made me question everything and anything and I literally thought the world would cave in (and possibly did?), whilst I'm disappointed, I'm not apopletic with rage... he's a solid option, but I am sure there are others who can do a similar job. I wish him luck for the future, and will clap him when he inevitably returns, but won't shed any tears. We have Hevertton still:)

Yeah why are you so adamant, or even Adam Ant about him Wilkins?

You're normally quite measured but are jumping in every time saying he's shit when he clearly isn't.

He's not Bardsley but he's been very good for us in a very unconventional but effective manner, in our ridiculously imbalanced squad, for the last 2 seasons.

We will be better without him. Not having to watch that hoof to the right wing with a flick to no one.
Does anyone on here not think we are better than that?

Unfortunately Dunne represents how far we have fallen. Moving him on means we are going in the right direction.

Dunne is more that the hoof to the right wing. We did try to play out from the back early in the season - didn't go well.

Of course there are better full backs available than Jimmy, but on our budget, I doubt it.

Yes, I do. We are NOT better than that at the moment.

It's being so happy that keeps me going.

Go back and read Clive's review of defenders, he didn't give him an A because he felt sorry for him, he got that mark for his consistent level of play all season.

Hes helped our back four massively by having another player who can win the ball in the air, which he does consistently, he never hides, gives 100% every game and is a leader on the pitch, plus he is more than competent at centre half when we will inevitably get injuries.

It's all about opinions and from reading the board the majority can see the qualities that Jimmy brings to the team.

Yeah ur right we’ve got the one and only never ton santos to replace him , or we might be lucky and get the premiership option of Ashby neither deemed good enough to displace him last season I seem to remember

He's better than average for our squad so no, we're not better than that. We're worse than that.

How far we've fallen from what? Third Division South?

I like Jimmy a lot, both as a player as and as a person. I like his energy and his enthusiasm and his never-say-die attitude. All good attributes at any club, not just a lower-mid-table Championship club. Do I think he is anything like as good as Clive made him out to be in his end- of- year review? No I don't. Any half-decent winger, with a bit of pace can tie Dunne in knots. Fortunately for him (and us) there are not that many half-decent wingers in the Champ and his above-listed attributes were more than sufficient most games.

Will he be missed? Absolutely. By his team-mates as well as us, because Clive is quite right when he says a POTY award from your peers is far more valuable than one from us. But he will on be partly missed for the reasons mentioned and partly because Wilkins is right, our expectations are probably the lowest they have been for a very long time. Football is supposed to be an enjoyable hobby, I see nothing enjoyable about what lies on the horizon for QPR, in the immediate future at least. Next year (without or without Dunne) looks like another grim slog not to finish in the bottom 5 at best.
Worth remembering too, that Dunne has not signed a new contract, he has allowed it to expire, thereby allowing himself to leave for free. If, as expected, he leaves, he will be replaced, for better or for worse, and on we will go.

Seem to remember you also had little time for Cifuentes also.

Sad to say but you have the mentality of a Chelsea fan of modern day post Abramovic. Expectant above realism.

We have improved somewhat during Cifuentes time and Dunnes with us also.

We could improve but we haven't fallen.

Both have been a major part of that, but you have been extremely critical and at a time when most have been reasonably happy.

Every day is a holiday for you, my friend !!!

Dunne also has a great injury record and, crucially, scores quite a few goals, something most of our attacking players currently struggle to do. Only Frey got more for us last season.

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
