If we had a couple of million quid hidden under Nourry’s desk, we’d be crying out for the club to be sniffing around Kelman. Still don’t get why people want to put him down before he’s even had the opportunity to show where he’s at now and what he can do for us.
We need a striker who knows how to find the ball and stick it in the net. He’s torn up the league below. Everything’s a gamble but this surely has to be a better bet than Kolli or Lloyd or Celar.
We should be offering him a new contract without a doubt - there’s no fee for us to worry about here. If he doesn’t want one then we have to make the decision whether to cash in now and look elsewhere - which is the poorest choice in my opinion. | | | |

We were not the only club interested in Bonne either.
The club has made some bad signings over the years, but even our most extravagant recent signing, Madsen is a smaller outlay than other Champ clubs are spending

On the other hand, Ivan Toney did too and is currently in the England squad. Not sure it's worth comparing different players, lets just give Kelman a go next season and see where we are in 12 months time. |  |

Bonne scored L1 12 goals in season 21/22 before coming to us, so less than half of Kelman's total last season. | | | |

We paid a fee for Bonne, Kelman is our player; we sent him out on loan; he has done what we wanted and had a successful season.
We have to attempt to protect our assets, therefore we have to offer him a deal.
If he doesn't want to sign, and he is going into his last year, then we try and accept the best offer, this summer. | | | |

With, seemingly, one year to run on his contract, I can't imagine the circumstances in which we would NOT offer Kelman a new deal this Summer. It is the only way to protect the value of our asset. He has proven his potential and, given our need for an reliable goal-scorer, it would be madness to sell him. However, it would also be madness to let him run his contract down. Therefore, if he won't sign a new contract, I would, with gritted teeth, sell him because he may well be at his peak transfer value for QPR. Of course, offering a new contract is a risk because not all successful League One strikers can deliver in the Championship but the opportunity to effectively "sign" the League's top scorer on a "free" would normally have us salivating. Take the risk, lock him in now (provided his demands are reasonable and affordable). | | | |

It's safe to say the ball is firmly in Mr. Kelman's court after such a season. His stock is high right now and I assume he'll be advised to leverage that.
