As they have already started, we need a thread. Suspect most of these will be wrong/clickbait sites, but lets store them in one place.

You might be thinking of this game back in April 2021:

https://www.transfermarkt.com/rotherham-united_queens-park-rangers/index/spielbe

He didn't start but came on as a sub for Bonne.

This is his full record v Rotherham:

https://www.transfermarkt.com/charlie-kelman/bilanzdetails/spieler/633492/verein

I think that says he started up front with Dykes snd Bonne came on for Kelman.

But it doesnt really matter anyway

Isn't that a prequisite to post on here ????

Think we all do that.!!!

Anyhow, joy of joys the summer transfer window opens on Sunday for ten days then closes from June 10th to 16th, something to do with Fifa World Cup Registrations - weird that this should affect transfer windows around the world and then reopens until 1st September, I believe.

Cue ten top signings on Sunday.

If the club could do this, with a post saying James Dunne and Monsignor Saito is remaining here that would keep myself happy and if we could know who exactly our manager is to be and Mr Marti is allowed to be removed from the naughty step too.

Some hopes may not be realistic !!!

Edit: I am talking shite...

I know you have some kind of weird connection to Cifuentes mate but your implication that he gave Kelman every chance to prove himself during his brief selections mainly as a very late sub is errant nonsense.

I think people’s issues are that you demand exactitude from others but are slapdash on your own.

Article says his loan at Shrewsbury was cut short because of a back injury.

Turns out it was a stress fracture:

That's the same problem that Harvey Vale has had.

What are they doing to them down in Cobham?

Southampton just signed Joshua Quarshie a 20 year old centre back from Hoffenheim for 3,5 million.
I wonder if Ronnie Edwards will be moving on.

Wishful thinking I am afraid to say.

They got £111 million extra in the bank.

Seems a buy for developing and won't be intended as a starter. Mr Edwards will cement his place in Saints defence early on, I am certain.

If they don't they are seriously deluded.

Jeffrey Schlupp has been released by Palace who we’ve been linked with before. Might be a decent replacement for Colback as he can cover a few different positions?

He's not really a CDM but can play at LB. But anyway, his wage demand would surely be too high for us.

I’d be surprised if we could get him too but he’s being linked with a Championship move. Maybe Eze can put in a good word for us.

According to WLS back in January, we were not interested in Schlupp. Just his agent getting him out there I suppose.

My other team is Celtic so watched him on his loan. Thought he was very dependable and put in a couple of decent shifts against better opposition in Europe. Would be an upgrade on what we have but like someone else said his wages would be an issue.

Tomorrow 1st June is the first day of the transfer window. So it opens in under an hour.

Last summer we did a lot of our business very early and think we may do again.

I reckon four or five deals in the next few week including increased terms on contracts for at least a couple of our players.

I think potentially myself we will sign Jimmy Dunne. Just a hunch, even though everything seems to point to him joining Sheffield Utd.

But how do we do our business without a head coach in place to have input on the business being done?! How do we know they’re players the HC will want to play?!

Nourry has said it’s Belk, the Head Coach, and him, as DOF, who have input into signings. Surely we can’t make any decisions without an head coach in place…unless he was lying?

And if we do business without a head coach, it means this business is led and controlled by a 28 yr old with about 4 years experience in the game. 18 months with us, 12 months auditing us, and a prior year in non-playing staff recruitment for a 3 man band outfit.

Isn’t that a bit ludicrous?

Either the head coach has input, in which case we’ve put ourselves in a state of paralysis. Or they don’t, and we’re led by a 28yr old novice/charlatan (delete as you see fit).

Neither of these are good.

True

This gardening leave scenario is mad.

Get rid of Marti and appoint someoneelse immediately, or keep him.

This limbo scenario is bonkers.

Excellent post Hunter, the single reason why I haven't yet renewed my season ticket, Lee Hoos has a lot to answer for but we will never find out the truth, lots of smoke and mirrors.....

Did said player also tell you the sky is blue and the grass green?

I’m not sure how much evidence some people want to accept Nourry knows very little about football. He was a recruitment consultant two years ago. He wasn’t even interested in football at Uni according to someone who knew him from there.

I have no problem with data playing a role in football. I think it should, but I think there should be a balance. Nourry in Belk’s role, reporting to a genuine DOF, who reports to a CEO might make some sense.

I think Nourry is a serious contender for Head Coach. He’s overseen some great signings, except for Martí’s choices of Celar and Madsen, saved us from relegation twice and revamped our youth set-up.
Apparently he’s reviewing our communications right now - so great things to come there too.

No brainer.

Know it is sarcasm… But could never happen.

Would put Nourry in a role with undeniable accountability with no ability to apportion blame elsewhere.

He’ll stick to his comfortable ivory control tower.
