Delighted for Palace. Did a lot of work at the ground and academy last year . Decent hard working people and proper fans just like our lot .

Saw it a couple of times and it looked like Henderson accidentally bumped Pep and he had a bit of a snap at him.

Henderson then puts his hands up to apologise - don't think it was a pop at all.

Ridiculous over complicated reason to not issue a red but otherwise great and would have made his dad proud.
[Post edited 17 May 20:40]

Henderson’s dad was a Perivale boy that went to Northolt High. He was a really good mate with my brother and came away with us many years ago on holiday to Tenerife. The Henderson’s moved up North through work and the Man U thing happened. Unfortunately, Dean’s dad Dougie died fairly recently. He followed his son all over the country when ever he could.

Didn’t really work for him in Manchester. Look at them now and how things are on the up at Palace.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

Eze is an Arsenal fan, not Spurs or Palace.

In recent months, and particularly today, he's surely put himself in the shop window. Those clubs that can afford to buy a £60m player can also pay big wages and that's what could turn Eze's head.

I'm not convinced that a move away would do him any good, from what I've read he does a fair bit of charitable work locally on his days off, he seems like a decent down to earth bloke who just happens to be an outstanding footballer.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

You could be right but doesn’t he have the ambition to play at the highest possible level?

Surely a champions’ league club could tempt him.

I wonder if Eze will stay now, won a trophy and European football next season. I'm not sure Spurs is a step up for him now

That’s precisely why a move would make sense

1. Won a trophy and club enters Europe competition, possible job done at palace so leaving on a high

2. Plenty clubs will be after him, think of Arsenal (someone said he is a fan), Real Madrid, Bayern Munich - all big big clubs bigger than spurs who missed out on league or champions league and more clubs like that

3. Still be able to play in Europe in any of those clubs mentioned above

4. Big money move that is a given

5. Prime of his career to go on bigger things than Palace (not to slight them) if not now, when?

6. Time to repay QPR for what we have done for him and still have (I made this up - but you know it is true)

I agree. He does a lot of community work around the area there and I think he'll want a crack at playing in Europe with them next season. Don't blame him. Perhaps we can get an IOU for the following season?

Never knowingly right.

It doesn’t stop him doing charity work in the community whether at Arsenal, Bayern, Real or anywhere else, IIRC he did when he was at QPR

Apparently you could even be in Dubai and still do a job in London.

Well done Eze, very happy for the lad. Modern day QPR cult hero.

Good for Palace and Ebs too.

Recently saw a documentary about mental health on TNT Sports presented by Clarke Carlisle and he interviewed Jason Mcateer, Phil Jones, Stephen Caulker and ended up chatting with Eze.

He is a very religious man, and was saying if I play well at football, thats not going to get me up into heaven ie its just one part.of his life, but in essence what he was saying, is that just his main aim is to be a decent person.

Think that attitude would stand him in good stead for the inevitable drops in form that happen even to the best. Ie its just a part of his life but not the most important.

Hope from this, he gets more opportunities for England also.

The only club I would not be happy to go to, is actually Man City. A few have gone there and their career has stagnated.

Will he be like Zaha who, stayed at Palace for.most of his career. Different character and different player and never understood why he never tried further up the food chain, but given an opportunity I think Ebs is on his way.

One thing is for sure, he is a Palace Legend for life.

Anyone know whose decision it was to bring him to our club. Whoever's decision that was, they deserve our thanks also.

I managed to get a couple of tickets to the game yesterday and accepted it just to see Eze score. It was a strange experience in the Palace end, not feeling anything in such a big match. No investment at all, a bit dislocated from the action.

When Eze scored I celebrated as hard as anyone else.

What I loved most about the day was the absolute pure raw emotion of the Palace fans round us at the final whistle. In particular a 60 year old grey haired man in tears. No matter your feelings towards Palace (and I have no issues with them), it was great to see and gives me hope for the game.

This is football...and VAR wants to kill it!

Ollie had a big hand in this, having seen him play for the youth teams at Millwall when he was managing there. He'd heard that Ebs wasn't going to be offered professional terms and recommended him to Chris Ramsey knowing that we would absolutely love him.

A rare feel good story in modern football. Inevitably followed by obligatory transfer talk - he's hitting a level that the big boys won't be able to ignore now, surely? £68m release clause touted would mean £13.6m for us. Would be transformational for a new manager. Although we did spend big by our standards last year and didn't do us much good...

No, he was one of their youth players, was there since he was a young kid, grew up in Thornton Heath.

You'd put that consideration before what it might mean for the club you support?

Spoke to my best mate and his son (my godson) today. They sound absolutely exhausted.

It is astonishing to see our respective trajectories since they were in administration and we stole Warnock. An established Premier League club who have just won their first major trophy and will be in Europe for the first time next year. Just shows how important the owners are to a club.

Well, yes, and I'd certainly agree that we could be doing much better, but of the 23 other teams which were with us in the Championship when Warnock first arrived, eight now play at a lower level.

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
