If Marti gets the Leicester job, it's a brilliant opportunity.

Personally am still dubious, they will offer him the role, but it's a chance for him to test out his skills at a higher level.

Leicester would require a play off position at the very worst and the likelihood is failure to get promotion would not be acceptable.

I wish him well.

In his first season at QPR, he saved us from oblivion in league one or lower for many years.

The football under Ainsworth was the worst I had seen in the last 40 years. It was horrendous.

Am pleased we have identified Stephan and it seems positive and a couple of very interesting signings and held onto players that are key also.

And I know the Stevenage game was just a kick about but that was a very promising performance.

I am optimistic without being expectant.

There's a post on X right now that says Marti has gone to Leicester and a bag containing £500,000 has gone to the Rangers. Can't find the link right now but will post it here if I see it again.

Honestly don’t blame Nourry for limiting the sharing of information! When everything is picked apart and fought over online. There is no way he wins in this situation, too much info not enough info people going to chat crap about it either way.

Good luck to Marti if he has the Leicester gig, wish him all the best. Glad rangers got their comp despite the musings of people online.

Can’t wait for the season to bloody start!

His whole time here has been firefighting, so I will be interested to see how he gets on if he does go to Leicester (although maybe some firefighting will be required there too).

Talk of them starting on -12 so it'll be more of the same.

How many posts today for something you don't care about? In fact your first ever post on this forum less than a year ago was to defend Nourry and about 50% of your posts are defending Nourry, so you must care a bit.

Anyway it would appear one mans negative inferences are another mans reasonable assessment, so probably best we leave it there to avoid boring everyone to death.

As somebody else pointed out a couple of times there has definitely been a Paladini effect on the forum, cheerleaders appearing from nowhere.

So much hearsay that you don't know what to believe, a number of people have said that Martis relationship with Nourry was toxic and that he wanted to fire him in October but was stopped by Ruben. Then after that Marti was just on borrowed time knowing he was going at the end of the season, if that's true it wasn't a crime for his agent to be sounding out West Brom if that's true.

I'm hoping that the news that Marti has got the Leicester job is true, he's a good Manager and sticking him on gardening leave was a big mistake, as for Simon Jordan he can voice his opinion as he always does but I'm quite sure he also doesn't know all the facts.

"Knowing all the facts". I doubt that anyone outside Nourry's cabal is privy to all the facts about many things QPR. It's our CEO/DOF's modus operandi.

But when does any fan group know all the facts? Rangers fans still loathe Mark Warburton for walking out on them. He insists he was sacked. How much do we know about Warburton leaving QPR? Or Ainsworth? Or Holloway when he was put on gardening leave? There's always been rumour and counter-rumour in football. We never fully know the facts.

It's true we no longer know the length of players' contracts which I agree is silly because any other club wanting to know would just ask their agents. But many other situations like managers leaving/being sacked we've never known all the facts for both legal and commercial reasons. It's not just a Nourry thing.

All that you say is true, nix. However, Nourry doesn't only keep players contracts secret. The whole Ben Williams thing last year, for example, was kept in the shadows.

I've spent time in organisations that were led by control freaks. Keeping a tight hand on communication is a key element to the way they operate. Nourry will do some good things at QPR but I worry about what lies in wait for us further down the road. Lack of transparency is always a sign that things could well be very wrong on the inside.

He’ll be fine if it’s the former and maybe that’s why they want him.

Trouble is, the bag contained 500,000 crisps.

“Knowing all the facts “, you’re so last century dahling

I’ll be wishing Marti well and like others will be intrigued to see how he does at the Foxes. Will be interesting to see what reception he gets when he comes back to LR as well, I suspect a good one from most (chicken children excepted)

They desperately need to raise funds too, so the likes of Vestergaard, Faes, Ndidi, Skipp, Winks, Coady will all have to go, plus the likes of McAteer so it’s going to be a real batten down the hatches and survive effort there.

We've been saying it for years, but there's something so fundamentally wrong with the business model of football.

In the pursuit of sustainability, I do hope the Rangers are genuine in saying we'll try harder in the cups.

I'm just worn down by bitter experience, but at the moment we're in that summer period of high hopes with a new manager, excellent looking young signings, youth development on the up, Dunne committing to us.....yet we all know there is a fair chance come Dec 20 with Marti in the opposition dugout that we're down in the depths and they have soared past us even starting on -12.

I sincerely hope that, for once, our optimism is actually justified.

Marti to Leicester…maybe on 09:05 - Jul 10 with 1655 viewsSW_Ranger

I hope Martí gets the gig he wants and it all works out for him.

As for Nourry … meh … he’s running our club better than many over the past years. People may not like is way of working, or him as a person, but he’s doing it his way and not a lot differently to many other organisations.

At the end of the day he will be measured by progress and a level of success; both from his bosses (who probably matter more to him personally), the staff/players and the fans.

I don’t get as deeply offended, or tunnel visioned, over him as many on here but it’s just my personal approach. Life is all people.

Good luck Martí. See you around

I get your point, but as with Warbs there seem to be quite a few of us who think that the club have got rid of a good manager far too early. The reason people pined for Warbs for so long was the rubbish that followed after him. Let's hope history doesn't repeat itself.

I mean this is QPR who paid Hamalainen to go and play champions league football and then paid his replacement Larkeche to go and play in Scotland.

Pretty much the one constant in the past two decades is you’re better off out of the club

OK, so which month are we all going with when Leucester panic and pull the trigger on him. Can't see their fans accepting too many 6 game losing streaks.

Basket case of a club, I'm going late November.
