Clearly this is our year....

Well likely half the team that won the Premier League Cup will be involved here, so the cup pedigree is there !!!

Probably as Plymouth also stated they likely to field a second team, this could be seen as no more than a preseason friendly...

I have no idea as to the result, performance or team, but am not too hopeful.

Saying that Plymouth have lost almost all their top players, but its a cup game

Random from me.

Plymouth 2 QPR 2

football these days is so sh*te. When I was a kid, this would've been a big game and we would've played our strongest side and played to win it.

Not having a go at the kids on the pitch, but this is rank. Utterly disgraceful. Cos yea, we need to rest everyone to make sure we can have a proper tilt at winning the Championship this year.

Football = b*llox

QPR attitude to cups is a farkin disgrace

No. That was a dig I made at the fans who have been over estimating where he is at and an example why he has not been first name in the team sheet last season and again early days.

I posted that I see this as a Dev squad game representing the club in a man’s cup and therefore not treating it as a 1st team game.

Now I get that there is an argument that 1000 people have trekked all the way to the West Country and whether the club are disrespecting the fans but once Furling stepped off the coach first it was a statement that this was a development squad outing representing the club.

He’s scored more goals per minute than anyone we’ve had since Austin I think.

Early days, but worth some optimism I’d say.

how about a proper tilt at not getting relegated?

We've essentially sacrificed our place in the cup to be able to say to parents of promising kids that their kid might get to play senior football early at QPR

No it's not.

Again, people completely missing the point of tonight. Get the youngsters in, get them playing so they can push onto the 1st team. These players will have more in these 90 minutes than an entire season of development football.
It's not difficult.

100% agree.

Even the Sky commentator in these final mins recognises what this is.

Paul Furlong prove you are doing a good job and bringing through the next crop or not.

Ruthless, but fans want success and the way ahead is bringing young talent through early and flog them for money, rinse and repeat cos nothing else has worked for the last 10 years.

It's clearly not arrogance. We have a huge amount of injuries for whatever reason - if we created more tonight then where would that leave us on Saturday. Same reason we took Burrell off, so he'd be available to play on Saturday.

It's the same argument every year.

That's the huge issue though isn't it, sacrificing a winnable game and a cup run for the sake of getting beat in the next league game anyway. Where does that leave anyone, except pissed off, embarrassed and frustrated?

Exactly they can play in our next league cup game and get 90min more experience. Next year.

It may be a team on the pitch that bears no resemblance to our league side, but its the sort of result and outcome that torches a huge amount of goodwill with the fanbase.

Especially the poor sods who have travelled tonight.

Just think how much people kicked off after the Leicester cup game in January!

well we can politely disagree then. What exactly have these kids gained tonight that is better than the club going on a cup run?

i believe the answer to be f*ck all. You presumably have a different point of view

Never looked like scoring 2nd half.
2CBs have been OK.
Otherwise it's the seniors, Kolli, Vale and EDB who looked the part. And, of course, Burrell's 45 minutes.
