40!! Now we know what the _P stands for: Puppy.

More wisdom than you have years, Space. More wisdom indeed. No idea about the Rangers on Saturday; always get edgier when things looking more up than down.

Only thing to say: Have a good birthday Laika...

D'you know, by the time I reached 40, I'd started going in pubs.
2-0 QPR.

Not the Stoke of yore with a top quality Championship manager in charge. Always more concerned about ‘should win’ than ‘must win’ games. I would love to keep a clean sheet, but we seem incapable of that. Still we have a very potent strike force, who are more than capable of scoring at least 2 goals - and we know what that means. 2-1 Rangers.

This will be my sons first QPR game — he’s four in December. All I’m asking for is a QPR win and that he doesn’t ask to go home before halftime!

Let the good times continue 3-1 for the third game in a row, Vale to get his rewards with a opening goal, Kone and Morrison with the others. U Rrrrrrrr's!

In the 68-69 season in the old division 1 we had Stoke at home around Easter. I had the mumps and couldn’t go which was cruel as it was the only game we won at home and I missed it.

We won 2-1 and the programme was a pink check aboard

So 2-1 to us would do very nicely

Senior moment time - didn't we once have a game postponed at the Victoria Ground due to either an earth tremor or high winds? Whatever it was, there was damage to the roof of a stand, and they called it off in an abundance of caution.

Happy returns Spaceman.

I was peed off turning 40. Thought had to finally admit, I was no longer a child. Never wanted to be a grown up. Felt my life was over. Was the only birthday, I wasn't keen on.

Nearly 60 now and feel younger than I did then.....

Glad you doing the thread...

You do realise you have the season for yourself now...

In keeping with your big 4 0 birthday.

Has to be QPR 4 Stoke 0...🙂🙂🙂🙂

Yeah can't say I'm too thrilled about this birthday what with the world around us going absolutely nuts too. Having had a baby 15 months ago too plus living in a different country where there are genuinely cultural differences daily not just with strangers but my wife too.

Man its not been easy.

So if they could knock it out the ball park with a 4-0 win. Ill feel better.

I miss UK guys.

I spent some time in market research and the age groups were always 18-24, 35-44, 45-54 etc. that always made more sense to me. So it's not 40 you have to worry about it's 45! (With apologies to those of you out there about to turn 45)

I think we won a massive 4 games that season, all at home, ncluding that Stoke game, our final home fixture I think? I was there for each nail-biting one.

News flash — it used to be that life begins at 40; we’ve moved on; it kicks on at 50 now.

This will be a really tough one on Saturday (the game, not your birthday; although……)
I’d take a score draw now.
Hopefully we can nab another win by two margin to keep nudging towards a positive GD and continue climbing

As ever, midfield will be key. I’m hoping Samuel Field Esq. has had the best week of his life in training and starts as well need size and mobility in there.

I’m going for a Desmond here - Kone with a brace but cancelled out by a penalty and a mix up at the back.

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

One tip - bring snacks!

And hopefully the riproaring Rangers will be entertaining enough that you won't have to resort to screens.

Happy Birthday Spaceman!

Rangers 2.75
Draw 3.10
Stoke 2.60

Bookies really not fancying us this season, it seems. I know we've lost havily once but we've won the last two and we're at home so I thought we'd be favourites for this one.

Happy Birthday Spaceman ( presume you are not living on Mars)

I’m 63 and still in my head I’ve not even reached 40 yet.

Loftus Road will be rocking Saturday, early goal, equaliser and then the strength of our bench wins the day.

2-1 Kone and Frey, would just love that. There are goals in this team

Sorry replying to myself but assuming all bar JCS and Walsh fit and available this weekend who is the 9 on the bench and who misses out? Such luxuries

That Stoke programme cover is a real Elastoplast pink.

Here’s a stat. Kone (King Richard IV) has played 246 minutes in a QPR shirt. 2 full games + 2 subs appearances. His 3 goals means he scores on average every 82 minutes. He scored in the 44th minute on Saturday so he’s due to score in the 38th minute against Stoke. If he scores anywhere near that time I’m going to start calling him Clockwork Kone.

Bring back Golden Goal tickets 😉

I'm no actuary, that's a given, but it baffles me how often the draw is the longest odds. Can it be right that draws account for less than a third of results? And if an away win is the most likely result then why wouldn't the draw be the second most likely?

For the Wrexham game, the home win was the shortest result but 1-1 the shortest score. Go figure!

To your actual point, Stoke have won four of their five games, so it doesn't surprise me they're favourites here.

Aaron Cresswell at the age of 35 marking Beep Beep Burrell could be nice to see. Because of this I'm going for a 2-0 Home win.

I suppose...and I know Robins' teams always do well against us, but somehow I'm still surprised.

I know very little about how odds are set, though, just to be clear!

Happy birthday and congrats on parenthood.

I turned 40 two days after birth of my second son and to be honest gave ups counting my own birthdays from then on since my son's birthday always mattered more.

Brian I can’t get my head around decimal odds. Can we get back to using traditional, simple, clear, easy to understand descriptions? You know … monkey, pony, cockle, carpet, double-carpet, Burlington-Bertie etc.

Their penalty will be a result of Mbengue killing someone dead I suspect as many posters have mentioned its going to happen just a matter of when .
Hate those early kick off for a few reasons but hopefully we can continue our good play and grab the win here .
