To be unceremoniously dropped for a young keeper with zero experience must've dented his confidence and desire. Totally agree.
Yes it does seem that he wouldn’t come off his line even if his arse was on fire but he’s a decent keeper for this level.
January a tricky time to add a keeper but seems like the club might have to.
Nardi knows he’s got no long term future here but if people think Walsh is the answer then we are in touble |  |

Sorry, he had been found out 2nd half of last season. He is costing us points, Sheff Wed's away and today.
The club were trying to move him on for a reason, which we all saw today.
Not good enough, so needs replacing ASAP. |  |

I presume you are blaming Nardi for the first goal......I am not so sure about that. RND left his man, Cook did not defend very well either.
As for the 2nd goal.....I think Varane got a touch on the cross and it 'killed' our defence. A bit unfortunate really but not good defending generally, RND held the goal scorer onside. | | | |

I think Nardi was slow off his line for the first but almost recovered it. World class save after 8 minutes and blameless with the second. I agree that it's difficult for a keeper told that he has no future to then be on top of his game. As a shot stopper he is generally really good but coming for the ball and those decisions has caught him out. Generally though, I think he's fine but perhaps Cooper will be the one who makes the grade. People think he's too small but he is actually just over 6 foot. |  |

As well as the first goal (which he clears if he's a keeper who comes out) there was another cross in the first half that he just stood on his line for.
I like him and he has been a decent keeper for us but it's probably time to move on. He is not going to change now. | | | |

For me the problem is more wide spread than just the keeper. I think we are lacking 2 championship quality center backs, I would take Cooper over what we have, he does exactly what I expect of a center back. He wins most headers, defends well and marshals the defence well. Yes he can't come out with the ball, but that for me is a luxury in the championship. Also the center mid seems to be a problem, Madsen and Varane are not mobile, Millwall had that in spades winning nearly every second ball, and they are not the only team to do that against us. We have good flair players out wide, but I think you win matches if you win the midfield. | | | |

Well documented on here that I am not a Nardi fan, but not blaming him for either goal today, I have spoken recently about how fragile our defence is and today was a perfect example.. We were 'out QPR'd for the first goal, long ball over the top, striker too quick for our defenders. Even so, Nardi saved the initial shot and and it is reasonable to expect that wwith THRRE defenders to ONE striker that someone would have cleared the rebound.
Second one is even more laughable defensively. Free kick barely chest height allowed to travel past an army of blue and white hooped shirts before being nodded home from a yard out. En route someone stuck out a lazy leg trying to flick it away instead of attacking the ball and sending it fifty yards up the pitch. Neither goal on Nardi - rank/lazy defending | | | |

Both RND and Cook were awful with the first goal.
The worst thing Nardi could of done was start to come and then stop. Perhaps Cook saw Nardi coming and eased off, I am not sure. A keeper has to dominate his box though.

The Millwall through ball landed more or less on the 18 yard line. Should Nardi have been sweeping there? Perhaps he expected better defending in front of him. I don’t know - but had he gone for that today he’s going to be rounded by the forward or will have to take him out and take the red. His shot stopping today was pretty bloody decent. |  |

A classic Nardi performance in a way. That first half save was as good as you’ll see anywhere. Smallbone has taken it early and hit it perfectly. I’d given up on it behind the goal. I don’t know what his communication is like but we’ll always be vulnerable to sloppy goals when he has such a dire command of his box. | | | |

I'm undecided.
First of all, Smallbone's shot was not postage stamp and it was a long-ranger. I think that's a good save, but one any keeper at our level will make, or should make.
Secondly, as for their first goal - I think that his starting point is on the penalty spot and he's very close to where it drops, so it's tempting to wonder why he doesn't clear it...but it is a very hard ball to judge - is it catchable, can he fly-kick it, what if he misses it etc etc. I'm inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt on that one. But, I can see differing points of view, it's fairly subjective. |  |
