Charlie Kelman’s Leyton Orient 12:00 - Feb 8 with 141706 viewsDannyPaddox

Up against Man City in the FFS that was offside FA Cup. I prepare to stand corrected but I think Charlie is still our player but as I take as much interest in modern football players contracts and transfers as I do in mobile phone contracts I could be wrong. Either way seems like a good lad and having a decent season with a club I like so up the O’s!

Up against a central defender today in Ruben Dias who’s worth approx £75 mil … would love to see Charlie meg him.

The problem is: is Kelman willing to stay with QPR or looking for a move as he is the top scorer in League One, he is not short of offers elsewhere and his contract with us is not a long one.

Bring contracted to QPR he doesn't have that choice. The length of his contract is unknown but appears to be 6 months to a year. Clubs better than QPR who might be interested in him are probably quite few. I think QPR hold the cards on Kelman and should be able to make a decision that best suits the club.

Fantastic effort by Charlie!

We've waited a while for a player to generate a 20-pager (twenty-pager) but we've got there, and with games to spare.

Great stuff, well done everyone.

I would not be paying any attention to Orient if not for our Chaz Mk2. I am really rooting for them as one of the form teams and likely to match up with Deadpool in the league one playoffs. That has to have him hyped.

I have to say, that since I adopted a cat found in the grounds of Leyton Orient football ground (Who while Kelman was still in nappies, we called him Charlie - True story) I have always had a soft spot for them.

Plus, I am sure they were in the L1 play offs the same season we beat Derby at Wembley. We were going to HQ the next day for the celebration party and travelled with many Orient fans and I was so gutted they lost to Rotherham especially as it had been decided on penalties.

So would be nice if they met Charlton in the play off final and binned them off to another season in L1

I think he signed a two year extension in 2024 so that can't be right.

Besides, Marti is on record as saying that QPR will make a decision on Charlie in the summer.

https://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/club-to-make-decision-on-future-of-qpr-forwa

That would suggest that Charlie is contracted beyond 2025 or, at the very least, QPR have included the usual option to extend by a year.

TransferMarkt isn't all that accurate on contract dates.

Of course, he has.
That makes 21 goals + 4 assists. 2 ahead of Stansfield on both counts. And he cost Brum £10m

And Bham as a team will get over 100 points and have won 30 and only lost 3 league games all season

I think it’s great we have an up and coming “20+ goals in a season” striker on the books.
Has to be promise there (and a few million saved too)

Had a good chat with an Orient fan today who goes home and away. Reckons Kelman has improved massively from his first loan spell with the O’s.

He says Kelman has got a lot stronger and has developed into a more composed finisher. As he knows a bit about us too, this O’s fan compared him to Kevin Gallen. I pray he’s right!!

New majority shareholder in at Orient, another American owner, plans to turn them into a sustainable Championship club. So the question is, how much would they offer now?

Orient in play off shoot out in final game with Reading

Teams level with Orient superior goal difference.

If Orient miraculously got promotion, Charlie may prefer to stay at Orient. That won't happen as they can't afford him.

No more goals but got an assist today. Finished top scorer in L1 - only player to score 20-plus - also top of the pile for goal contributions (26). Charlie v Clint in the playoff semi-finals.

Long thread, so maybe has already been mentioned, but he's only one year older than Jay Stansfield and just out scored him.

One thing I've only just noticed about Kelman is that he stayed fit all season, unlike our strikers.
