As they have already started, we need a thread. Suspect most of these will be wrong/clickbait sites, but lets store them in one place.

I assume you're ralking about Lowe here, in which case only very stupid clubs would look to outbid each other and pay a fee for a player who has purportedly handed his notice in following non-payment of wages.

Kone I think

And if he turns out to be mustard we will get decent money for him when we sell him.

Not now everyone knows the length of his contract.

Max Lowe is 28 so would be looking for a long contract. Perhaps we can offer him a 5 year one.

Or maybe just wants to get paid as per his contract.

No, he was referring to Kone of Wycombe.

I was talking about Kone - the Wycombe Whispers was the give away - but if any club was to be that stupid, it would probably be us.

Yep. He’s a decent player and could do a good job for us in some much needed positions (left back and central mid).

Kone I think

Oh, FFS, just buy him and the unpaid bloke and be done with it!

About time we stuck two-fingets up at the FFP and moonied our in the face of PSR or whatever we'll be subjected to in the Prem next season. Too many wusses running scared when we should be adopting an 'arms out 'kin 'ave it' attitude.

I’d be very happy with Lowe. But I’m boring and worry about us spending too much. Kone seems pricey…..

I agree. Lowe seems doable though I imagine that other clubs will be in for him and therefore his wages might be high. It was mentioned earlier in this thread that his previous wages were 17k a week and while he isn't currently being paid at all, I imagine he'd be looking for something similar. In that instance, I doubt we'd be able to afford that.

The Kone deal seems like nonsense to me. I don't see a world where we drop 5m on an unproven striker. We just sold Kelman for 3.5m and used a portion to get Burrell, and we have Ba coming in for 500k. If nothing else, Nkada is available for a purported 2.2m which we appear to have baulked at, so I'm not sure why we would do that and then turn around to drop 5m on Koné.

Same friend reckons that he'll be available for a lot less but I remain to be convinced.

Well you'll absolutely sh1t yourself when your mate let's you know that his progeny has informed him that an out-of-contract old bloke called Planet Honneywood has just started following Poku, Mbengue, Dunne, and Chair on Insta!

Nailed on 10 goals mate. 'Kin nailed on.

If you’re able to run / move, you’re starting up front on Saturday.

If Kone is in the picture maybe we’d ditch the BA transfer and put that 500k towards his fee. Obviously, this would scupper Clive’s already written piece but Confirmation of the BA transfer does seem to be dragging on

It could also mean that Celar (?) or maybe Kolli is moving on?

If there's any merit in the Kone links then I think it must be predicated on us doing a deal to move Celar on. Given the persistent rumours about his wife not being settled etc. then perhaps it isn't completely impossible, but we'd have to receive a decent sum for it to make sense IMO and I can't imagine that anyone is biting our hands off to get him.

Maybe we are also offering a player or two to Wycombe in part exchange - a kind of SIncs/ WestSpam deal in reverse. Can but dream...

We also have to get him to choose us over Leicester. Again, said friend seems to believe that we're a better option because Leicester are skint, but he's a hopeless optimist.

I'm not sure why he would choose a 15th-19th over top 10, but then maybe Nourry can sell him on the 'project' or something...

His wife being unsettled could be a reason for his poor performances especially if she had not wanted to move from Switzerland l

I haven't seen anything that said clubs have been interested in him, but great if one buys him.

London, not needing to move house, and a French-speaking manager are all good draws.

Exactly what I was thinking. If we somehow sign Kone, that changes to things substantially! That will make our forward line serviceable for the season.

You’d think that such a signing would take almost all the budget up and we wouldn’t be picking up a CM or LB, not a remotely good/expensive one anyway.

Very interested to understand how we comply with FFP for such a signing. If Eze is sold, it makes sense. If he is not, could we have done a deal with Palace and sold them the clause?

If we are signing Kone for c. £5m plus wages, it must put us close on FFP. We won’t find out for 18 months, mind.

Yeh it would basically render my season preview dead on arrival.
But, again, I'd live with that!

Considering he was playing for Athletic Newham a little over 18 months ago, I’d imagine signing for QPR doesn’t seem so bad.
