Yup! | | | |
Nourry on new H&F board on 13:09 - May 9 with 2336 views | Lblock | I think we all know redeveloping Loftus Road will be really hard but there has to be a way as I cannot see any other alternatives (ie available sites) We might have to dig down Or possible build over the South Africa Road itself We should've done this when offered to Chris Wright but we could buy the school The most expensive option would be to buy all the houses in Ellerslie Road and/or Loftus Road Damn.... forgot to mention Linford Christie / the Scrubs

Nourry on new H&F board on 12:35 - May 9 by Juzzie | New stand would need to accommodate 7,000 more seats than it already does so that would need to be big and there are 'rights of light' to take into account for the White City flats. Plus, the ground would end up looking like a giant hole-puncher! Don't get me wrong, that sounds like the main plausible option. Let's hope they can figure a way. The other three stands would need major revamp too, maybe knock each one down one at a time and rebuild like-for-like in terms of actual size but not sure if new regulations then get triggered reducing the seating capacity of each stand. So many sticking points as we all know . One is that the pitch doesn’t run parallel with South Africa Road . Any moment or building to do with Bhatia stand or School end and you have to start thinking about re routing / blocking SAR completely.

You mean you have seen one poster on X suggesting it? I know Jeff has some access to the club, somehow, so lets pretend its true.... It means rediverting SAR, taking it down to one lane with a traffic light system or building over it, creating a tunnel. https://www.alamy.com/the-estadio-vicente-calderon-the-stadium-of-atltico-madrid

Nourry on new H&F board on 14:03 - May 9 with 1828 views | DannyPaddox | Could we not elevate SA Road and turn it into a flyover enabling us to expand the SA Road stand across and up (rather than digging down) and put the White City Estate on stilts.
Nourry on new H&F board on 14:11 - May 9 with 1761 views | numptydumpty | Whatever anyone thinks so far about aspects of how Nourry is performing in his current roles for ourselves, I do take my hat off to him for this also. He clearly must have something about him, because a few different major organisations/employers, giving him the opportunities and at his relatively young age too is actually very impressive. I do admire him for that and he must be a person that absolutely lives to work also. Yes it could help a little with a new stadium or stadium improvements, but my personal view, it's all going to be practically impossible in the nearby districts. Clearly H & F massively in favour of residential and retail and not sure there is space or capacity for any improvements or any kind of new stadium in the near vicinity, even if they did tick the box to allow expansion or otherwise. I think it might be a better approach. Lee Hoos did try but he always seemed to me, to go into it with the approach of being incredibly peed off with the lack of movements on it and being a bit confrontational which in my experiences doesn't get you very far in negotiations apart from getting people wound up and defensive and not on board with what you are wishing for. I can't see any changes with this particular issue regarding stadium upgrades or brand new site, though for decades. It's seemingly come to a shuddering halt. [Post edited 9 May 14:15]

It's a high level board. I don't think they'll be taking any nonsense from young Christian. I'm not sure why QPR are getting involved with this and it would be really nice if they could tell us! But I agree that it sounds like a positive move.

Nourry on new H&F board on 14:55 - May 9 with 1528 views | HammersmithR | And this supposed redevelopment of the ground will see us ground share with Fulham whilst the works go on (allegedly). Either way we need to do something. We are literally the only club in the top 2 divisions who have done nothing to their ground of significance or moved to a new ground within the last 40 years. That is poor and shows why we have fallen behind small clubs such as Brentford, Fulham etc.

Plenty But the price of land in our area of West London for commercial development are, to be frank, mental. Totally different ball game if you're building shoeboxes for the dingy crowd as publicly owned land suddenly becomes available and at a very attractive rate. Maybe our Little Lord is looking to massage things that way?

Exactly. Football is Darwinian, more so now than ever. You have to adapt to change, we’ve done nothing except stagnate while other clubs have evolved. It’s utterly shameful how we’ve just stood back and watched while other clubs have outgrown and overtaken us.
