Apologies if posted before but I've only just seen it. 1m? Could have been a great signing for us.

Smells like a trout farm in here

I don't think he's been that great since his knee injury, anyway.

What is it that saw Ipswich score in the 106th minute and Wrexham in the 108th minute today? Has the EFL sneaked in extra time or are they adding on time everytime the ball goes out of play?

My claim in the Grimsby/Man Utd thread that Grimsby would not lose at home to Bristol Rovers today was trashed so what do I know about league 2?

There was a long injury in injury time to the Wrexham goalkeeper. No idea about Ipswich but think Derby did a lot of protesting the decision. Both games I can imagine the away team were taking their time to justify plenty of added time.

There's an ugly video doing the rounds of him copping real stick from the Blades fans after today's game.

Fair play to him for standing there whilst a couple of thousand people scream "Sacked in the morning" at him.

By all accounts, they have been dreadful, but early days and he is suffering a lot from not being Chris Wilder. Football is so crazily short term these days though

Yeah, at least most on here would never be questioning the manager after 3/4 games.

Oh, hold on......

Hold on. You were criticising the head coach more than most last week! The general view on here seemed to be he needed more time to be judged properly and the Cov debacle wasn’t on him. Questions were asked of others. You were the one pinning things on him.

Equally last week you started to question/criticise some of the transfer activity done by Nourry. But very recently you were posting about Nourry cooking. You are up and down on people like a tart’s drawers. It’s easy to be right if over a short period of time you hold all the opinions available!

The Ipswich penalty was awarded in the 104th minute so it was only a 2 minute protest. 14 minutes was a hell of a lot added on. I would have been sick if I was a Derby fan to see a penalty given in the 14th minute of stoppage time.

I notice the Chelsea game had 8 minutes added to each half largely because of VAR. It appears that Fulham had a perfectly good goal disallowed by VAR for accidentally standing on a Chelsea players foot. It was also noteworthy that United got a VAR winning penalty in stoppage time after the ref didn't give the decision.

On the surface it appears VAR is being used to give the decisions to the biggest clubs by those in a VAR room giving their opinion on incidents.

And the PGMOL admitted that the decision around the Fulham game was wrong

The ref had a shocker in that Ipswich v Derby game. Ipswich had a nailed on pen not given against George Hirst (who got booked for diving) and he also some how managed to miss Lewis Travis stamp on someone's chest! http://x.com/ChampionshpTalk/status/1961853800286695914?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctw

I turned that Chelsea game off in disgust based on the VAR decision on the Fulham goal and also to award Chelsea a penalty for handball when a Chelsea player handballed first and another one fouled a Fulham player before the ball hit a Fulham defender's arm.

The pen maybe debateable but disallowing that Fulham goal was outrageous and bordering on blatant corruption. A first ever prem goal for the player that scored it too. The Australian broadcast had John Terry on at half time and even he called the decision soft.

Then they add 8 mins for the delay largely due to the dreadful VAR decision and Chelsea take the lead in the 9th added minute....

I dont know it’s a bit ‘a great forward line in 2023’ for me. Either way, their business is all the evidence you need for why Eustace chose to go there. Spending a lot of money, without much furore about it thanks to the yanks entering the league.

Not championship, but I couldn't help but notice the announcement of a new deal for Cody Gakpo on the Liverpool official site made no mention of the contract duration. That must have the rest of the premier league in total panic.

Agree and talking of the Premier League the sums on players who aren’t even 1st team regulars are ridiculous. Fulham buying young lad from Chelsea reserves for £22M

It’s not a different league it feels like a different planet
