Isn't it a lovely position to be watching the results come in after we have done our work... see Hull are tanking Southampton 3-0 and Edwards not even on the bench .. is he injured?
If not what a waste of a player. .

Today's results continue to prove that this is the most unpredictable of leagues. A lot of people on here were underplaying our win v Wrexham along the lines of they're not that good, still a league 1 side and so on. Well today they went to Norwich and beat them 2-3.
And then you've got Sheff Utd. What on earth is going on there? The return of their messiah has made absolutely no difference, they still lost, at home to Charlton, who were another team we recently beat but people said they weren't a proper test....
And relegation fodder the Owls have gone to Pompey and stitched them up 0-2. Mad league, but cream always rises to the top....
Not Championship, but League 1. But Amario Cozier-Duberry is surely the most 'likely to be on QPR's radar in 10 months time' player I have ever seen. Our recruitment team will massively have the horn for him.

He plays on the right where we have Poku, Dembele and Smyth already.
Yeah your correct we shall probably buy him as we love collecting wingers :P

Any team putting a consistent run of results(except Sheff Utd's current run) has every chance of finishing top 6.

Oxford winning 2-0 @ Bristol City.

Yes. Remember last season we were within spitting distance of the play offs for a while after a good run between JNovember and January in spite of our terrible start.
Went to Millwall tonight with some Watford mates. Watford’s performance was a lot like ours at their place- weak goalkeeper, few players ever brave enough to move the ball with any urgency, zero presence up front. Quiet chortle to myself as they didn’t huff nor puff in the second half and meekly accepted defeat over an even more basic Millwall team than were used to. Pretty much universal desire to bin the current manager, Baah bizarrely left out for 70 minutes, square pegs in round holes. Loved it.

"Cantwell's goal will now no longer stand given the game will be replayed, but Ipswich defender Jacob Greaves, who was sent off, will still have to serve a suspension."
Because some events in history happened, and some didn't?
Like Fenwick's goal happened, and Hoddle's deflected shot didn't?

Our fans should have pissed onto the pitch to get it flooded to get the match abandoned when we were trailing 0-7 away to Coventry
Poor decision, will that be a precedent? If the goal is written off and the match to be played in full, should the two teams start with the same 11, oh no, Ipswich cannot.

Didn’t there used to be a rule that of a game was called off I think on 70 mins of later the result stood ? Why are we now going hang inlet play it again ? Leaves the future open to various shenanigans if a team is loosing , floodlight failiure fans getting on the pitch esp later in the season when 3 points could mean promotion , relegation .
Obviously there was no good outcome here, but to take away Blackburn's goal and allow Ipswich to play with 11 players seems very one sided. As ridiculous as it might seem it would have been more equitable to just play the last ten minutes 11 v 10.
Seems a strange decision given only 10 mins left as the reason the game was stopped was very heavy rain. It's not as if Blackburn could do a lot about the weather.

I think they have picked the most unfair outcome they could have. The game should be played behind closed doors from where it was abandoned. That's just a nonsense decision.
Smells like a trout farm in here

Why isn't there a rule written down for this? Why is it a hearing and a vote every time?
I guess, slightly playing Devil’s Advocate, each case could be different. To be fair I don’t think there’s an obviously correct solution even if the one they have gone for seems farcical. Deciding the game finishes 1-0 was probably the least worst option in the circumstances but if it had been Blackburn a man down (or two or three) that would be a very different situation. Playing ten minutes and going home again is maybe the fairest but a bit of a joke option at the same time.

This and behind closed doors.
Even then the teams have had time to prep so it will never be the same, but at least it's done then.

This. A rule like if a game is abandoned after 75 mins the result stays the same. If before its a replay. Let the teams in the league vote on it.
Pros and cons though. If Blackburn v Ipswich was a season-defining game in April and the ball is getting stuck on the pitch at 65 minutes you’ve got a bench desperate for it to be called off and another desperate for it not to be until 75 minutes at which point the roles reverse. Lot of pressure on the ref. Pressure on the ground staff even to do (or not do) what they can at half time etc.
Not saying there’s a good solution but having a fixed rule comes with its own difficulties. This postponement was weather out of either team’s control but what if it’s floodlight failure or a pitch invasion or an incident of racism. As soon as there is a rule there’s an opportunity to bend it which some individuals/teams inevitably will.

This is where unplayable because of weather gives the option to abandon and award to the winning team.
Alternatively we had a pools panel for postponed games - with so much more data now why not create a panel for circumstances like these?

Coz you’d get this. Probably.
Football regrets #412. I saw Jimmy Melville (Everton fan) walking into the SA Rd stand and I chickened out of tapping him on the shoulder and saying what he says here …
