The Madsen rehabilitation thread on 17:10 - Apr 12 with 3868 views | 1MoreBrightonR | For the first ten minutes I did... He was great. Then he just went back to his usual anonymous self. Was with a friend who lives abroad now so doesn't watch us much and he was absolutely baffled by madsen

The Madsen rehabilitation thread on 17:25 - Apr 12 with 3716 views | StreathamRanger | When we had the ball, he was of our better players. When. We didn't he wasn't great. At least we have identified a few positives the last two games. Needs a lot of work on his game off the ball. Let's see how he starts next season.
The Madsen rehabilitation thread on 17:28 - Apr 12 with 3682 views | joolsyp | Bring back Gerry as his personal trainer and get a few Terror Tuesdays under his belt. He runs out of steam way too early. If he can play the whole game like he did the first 20 today he'll be ok.

The Madsen rehabilitation thread on 17:35 - Apr 12 with 3574 views | aston_hoop | Its kind of mad, but maybe after the initial failings from him, taking him out of the firing line and coaching him plus giving him time to adapt to the physical elements he struggled with, is actually working. Very un-QPR.

The Madsen rehabilitation thread on 17:49 - Apr 12 with 3401 views | VancouverHoop | He's always had good vision and is a very good passer of the ball. Now, touch wood, he seems to be slowly coming to terms with the English game. Put in, and received, a couple of juicy tackles today which he'd have avoided a few weeks back.
The Madsen rehabilitation thread on 17:51 - Apr 12 with 3379 views | StreathamRanger | Just watched a replay of the goal. He stitched the move together and the cross was perfection. If you can do that then it's really up to him to just work on the physical stuff as he has touch, vision and passing.

The Madsen rehabilitation thread on 18:05 - Apr 12 with 3201 views | numptydumpty | Was a decent performance from the guy today. Especially the first half an hour, he won challenges, had a lot of possession and played inventive balls forward and nice flicks and heavily involved in the goal. I think he seems to work better with the little guys up front than either a fast and furious Kolli or a bulldozer in Frey. Think he could have potential to be a decent player in a team on the front foot but in a team with their backs up against the wall it's obvious others are more relevant for this but fair play, you have to say well done as it is difficult for any player when their form has been so poor. Genuinely pleased for him but it's early days and he has to do this on a much more consistent basis but you could see his qualities today which hasn't shown much as yet. Encouraging anyhow.... That was beautiful. Very nearly killed him from a standing start - more of that Nico you mad bastard. I believe he also put in a tasty foul in the second half and got a talking to from that tit of a ref. He looks at his worst when he has a chance to press or challenge but doesn't, but there was much less of that today and a lot of decent things. I think one of his main strengths is he's able to play the less predictable, more incisive passes that a lot of other players, and people watching, don't immediately see. A few hints last couple of games that he may be learning to find the space and knowing when to do it. Hopefully it's not all too late.
The Madsen rehabilitation thread on 18:26 - Apr 12 with 3001 views | baz_qpr | First 25 minutes he was the best player on the pitch, the whole front four were unplayable. The goal was a brilliant one touch move. Then Brizzle got more control of the ball and we tired very quickly. 2nd half was more attritional and the Smyth / Dembele sub harmed us more than helped. Overall a good performance and a good point against the form team in the division. If we had taken our chances game could have been over by 30 minutes
The Madsen rehabilitation thread on 18:31 - Apr 12 with 2963 views | QPROslo | Always thought Madsen was a good player from what he did in his first games with us. Don't know what happened to him, from the little Marti said he's had some big problems, but he did well at Oxford and even better today. Ashby also played well today, though he should have put that great cross from Dembele away.
The Madsen rehabilitation thread on 18:31 - Apr 12 with 2952 views | corse | He ll come good. There is a player in there.Good passing, good vision of the game, just needs to get tougher and adapt the tackle everything that moves game style that championship footy demands.

Watching him ambling around in the second half while Saito and Yang were running their nuts off to close down the Bristol defenders was doing my head in.

No doubt he needs to put himself about more but he's shown signs that he's not totally hopeless. Even if it means it makes it easier for us to find someone to take him off our hands then I think the last two games have been more positive than negative.

I think it's very simple - you don't give one of our jersies to someone who doesn't work hard enough.

This 100%, similar to Oxford he made us an 11 man team for the first 20-25 minutes and after that disappeared and they dominated his space, putting us on the back foot for the rest of the game.

Ya, agree with that. But he needs work harder, or go.

Completely agree. I made a point of keeping an eye on him today and while he was clearly useful in attack when we didn’t have the ball he jogged around and didn't want to get stuck in. [Post edited 12 Apr 19:44]
