This. My message to Mr Nourry is quite simple: Go On Then. Effortlessly deliver Queens Park Rangers victories right from the get-go in 25/26. To confirm, that means 8 Aug not Nov/Dec.
We win 7 of the first 10 games from Aug-Oct (or 10 /11 out of the first 15) and I'll be the first to say 'Very Well Done, CEO/DOF- Marti Who?'
But none of this, 'its a new Head Coach - will take time to bed in - short-term pain for long-term gain - change takes time, there'll be ups and downs' garbage if (by chance) we only win 1 or 2 of our first 10 games. All of that goes out the window with the 'bold' call on Marti imho.
Win (straight away) or bust for our CEO/DOF now whoever we appoint, assuming it was his call.
Harsh call Loftus. Doesn’t matter who comes in (or even if the Marti circus hadn’t happened and he rolled into next season) there are no guarantees of of great start. We’ll have some considerable squad changes, so nothing is ever the same.
It’s not as straight forward as your high expectations.
Who knows who stays or who goes. Whoever is coach there will be definitely be changes to deal with. Though we do have a prolific goalscorer stepping up at the club.

Yep, I agree - that is in many ways my point.
I personally think next season is going to be tough again - really tough. But the club has, imho, backed itself into a corner by (apparently) making the big bold call to get rid of a Head Coach who was arguably doing a very good job and was, accordingly, very popular with the large majority of the fanbase (and the dressing room?).
Now, whatever Nourry does has to work well, and be seen to work well, early on. And that is all extra pressure on everyone that you can argue has been self-inflicted.

If he would have joined us from the Danish team I would be quite excited about his appointment......
I don't know enough about Norwich, other than they've got a far bigger budget than us, to comment on why it went wrong for him there.
Yeah I think this is right. If straight from Scandinavia we’re all relatively on board, but a bad season at Norwich with a much better squad sours taste.
Optimistic view is we’ve traded like for like. Hope it works (if it is indeed done), still a big risk given we’ve had the same profile who has succeeded two years in a row.

So if it´s Thorup, then hopefully he has learn something about Championship now.
How incredibly underwhelming.
A coach with such an embarrassment of attacking riches at his disposal at Norwich, could only finish a massive one point ahead of the MC's depleted - injuries alongside many poor recruitments - QPR.
I suspect if the MC were in charge of Norwich with such attacking talent, he would have got them much closer to the play-offs, if not into the top 6.
Truly inspired, Mr all-knowing Nourry.

Even under normal circumstances I wouldn't be excited by the prospect of Thorup. In light of the circus surrounding Cifuentes I'm even less so. Sure, Thorup's Norwich team scored a a lot of goals but they also conceded many and faded badly at the business end of last season. Given the paucity of our attacking options, I'm struggling to see how he's a fit but hey, I have been wrong before.

On Thorup, I'm convinced he'll be a success so it's a great appointment. Our failure, particularly in the last third of this season, should have been a lesson for him as it was probably the first major struggle in his coaching career. Not to mention it was his first job abroad.
When things aren't going well coaches need their experienced players backing them, he seemingly didn't get that here. Gunn, Sorensen, Hernandez and Sainz all knew they'd be gone in a few months time. Stacey, whilst seemingly a great bloke, wasn't a regular in the side. Duffy is a bit of a dickhead by all accounts. He was getting good performances out of McLean so he was probably onside, along with Marcondes and Sargent (also probably off in a few months).
Based on what I saw in the first half of the season I'd have kept him. Most managers won't survive 1 win in 10 but I think Knapper has thrown the baby out with the bathwater. We're happy to let young players make mistakes as they develop but apparently not coaches.
