The usually reliable John Percy in the Telegraph has tagged on to the end of an article about Norwich that we've interviewed their manager from last season, Johannes Hoff Thorup

I know little about him. Norwich didn't do much better than us and he was sacked before the end of the season. Maybe not the best? I wonder how the interview went and how many were in the waiting room?

Plymouth have appointed into both those positions this week, including a guy he'd worked with before at Cercle.

Ah progress. What was our answer to all these very similar (and perfectly reasonable) questions from Cifuentes? Stick him on gardening leave and bugger on regardless.

Reuben Selles about to be sacked today . He’d be a good shout. This time last year Hull sacked Rosenior and look how well he’s done. Always glad to see clubs who are more of a basket case than us.

Selles would be a good option for us I think, can work with younger players as he showed at Reading, can work under basket case owners too. I just wonder if he has been bitten too many times and will wait for a nice stable club now! Certainly has his reputation fully intact at the moment

Don't expect the football to get the blood flowing.

Tom Cleverley now the new favourite. I don't think these odds markets are ever reliable indicators (eg Marti being favourite for WBA job at one stage) but they can occasionally reflect where someone has heard a whisper.

Not sure about Cleverley. Beale 25/1 along with John Terry. Mind boggles.

It has got to be possible for MC and CEO to make up ? ? I know he may have been trying to go but that prob because of the state of the club. Can anyone clearly tell me the state of play. He has gone ? He is going ? We are paying him up ? Surly with the financial state we can't do this ?? It has to make sense to make up and be done with the issues. These are grown men in charge of a large old club in a great location and with the right management and control measures put in place have aa positive potential to grow on a large scale. Can someone with brains give me a basic run down of what to expect and what has been the real cause of this. I actually suspect the dubai physio is a large one phoning in that job is a no no irrespective of how matey you are with the teenage CEO !

As others have noted a number of reports about the clubs holding talks with Johannes Hoff Thorup. Lost 6 in a row I believe for Norwich before his sacking so fits the losing run profile bang on. Why are we even thinking about him?

Never knowingly right.

If it's Thorrup then that would be a shocking appointment.

I don't want him at all.

Had a bad end. But Norwich scored the second most goals in the league last year? With admittedly much better forward players.

I don’t know, if we’re gonna finish 12-20th for eternity I wouldn’t mind being entertained. The Marti beer goggles obscured a lot of dross this season (myself included). We haven’t been a good watch since Mickey Beale was warming up the snake oil

What's happening with Pierre Sage?

Have we switched focus to Ross Marino?

Nothing from his spell at Norwich would make me think he would be a good appointment. With much better resources/players, they ended up on exactly the same points as us.

Paul Clement rumored to in line for position as Brazil's #2.

As we mention names touted for the current vacancy, I recall Clement being lauded as a potential QPR leader.

Wasn't he supposedly Tony Fernandes' 'dream manager'?

Paul Clement, there is a name from the past when it comes to being linked to us. Burned his managerial career in England years ago didn't he. Derby, Swansea and Reading all suffering him before he went back to coaching

IIRC Derby were in the playoff places when they sacked Clement.

He wasn't "playing the Derby way" or BS like that.

Unfortunately it has all been downhill for him since then. His last managerial job was in Belgium four years ago, although he was part of Frank Lampard's coaching team at Everton for a year.
