Rest of the Championship thread 25/26 on 13:41 - Jun 12 by Northernr | Hey, like I say, I quite like Wilder. I'd probably go round again with him if I were them. But getting done 3-0 at home by Hull and coming out afterwards saying he was "down to the bare bones" on a night where he brought Brewster, Rak-Sakyi, Campbell AND Souza OFF THE BENCH (!!), the way he behaved after the Plymouth game where they blew it in the last ten minutes and he accused them of over celebrating (this the guy happy to be filmed dancing on tables and singing about Sausage Rohl whenever they beat Wednesday)... it wasn't a great end was it? Even the final, 1-0 up and very comfortable to 2-1 down and out in the last 15 minutes... |
I think the Wednesday stuff is part of the Job Description for any Utd manager. Personally I think Nathan Jones is top of this kind of list

Keep up, I posted weeks ago that Carrick was going and he was getting the role. You need to listen to your influencer more.

It was a hugely amusing end though. Wilder is a decent manager but he is a bellend.

Rest of the Championship thread 25/26 on 12:22 - Jun 12 by JamesB1979 | Sunderland are a good side too. Sheffield finished 21 points clear of 5th and that’s after losing 4 of last 7. They finished 34 points clear of us. 90 points is automatic normally no? |
I felt looking at the playoff final in isolation that Sunderland’s two goals were pure class and they deserved to win on that alone. You’d be very disappointed to not win anything with 90 points though, yes. A clear case of new season delusion creeping in but I do fancy us to claw back a few of those 34 points. A bit like Colin but I'd rather have Colin any day. He doesn't do that disrespectful schit Wilder does, typical 'likes-to-dish-it-out-but-can't-take-it' bellend. [Post edited 13 Jun 11:35]

Rest of the Championship thread 25/26 on 20:17 - Jun 8 by Wegerles_Stairs | We need some tough, battle-hardened Championship players in there else we are in big trouble. The likes of Clint Hill and Shaun Derry. More ballers and I can visualise Portsmouth away. |
Judging by the way the announcement / interviews are worded, Sam Field is being asked to lead the way on this.

Quite a decent signing I think and not one I expected them to make (Also…. Not another Championship club but….. Plymouth looking like they might be bought by an American group fronted by Monkey Boy Gareth Bale)

Surprised he'd be available for 1.5m as gossip quoted as always looks a decent player. John Swift released by WBA too on that page - god I hope he doesn't sign for a club we dislike and get another hat-trick against us. Not noticed him as much at WBA.

Wrexham have been smart with signings last few years, don't tend to go as mad as you'd think but sign good players for the level they are at.

That's a very good signing and that fee was due a relegation release clause inserted in his contract, very astute bit of business on Wrexham's part. Personally wouldn't have objected if we tried to sign him, but of course, we remain rudderless. In only two seasons at championship level, he's managed to score 10 (24/25) and 12 (23/24) league goals. Suspect he will improve on those numbers with Wrexham. [Post edited 17 Jun 12:52]
