Getting in very early on this one. I only started one match thread last season and we won 4-0 so here’s hoping my luck continues especially as it’s such a huge fixture. Not just because it’s the first game of the season or because it’s the first game for JS, not just because the pressure is on us to beat a team, at home, that many have tipped to be relegated but because this team needs to win for its fragile confidence. To get its supporters to forget about gardening leave and divided opinions. My anxiety levels are way higher than normal for this game and with the injuries we’ve accumulated so early in the season I don’t think they’re going to drop, especially if Dunne and Cook are unavailable.
You wait for months for the season to start and this is what you get; a knot in the pit of your stomach.
I’m going for a rollercoaster 3-2 win. Chair with the first.
C’mon you soooopahhooooopsah.

I've predicted 3-1 to us, if only because it is a brand new season with the concomitant optimism associated with that...however, I could equally see it all going Pete Tong just as easily.
First goal is crucial - if we can get an early goal, I can see a comfortable victory. If they score first, the crowd will start to deflate and frustration build, particularly if we get the typical Preston sh*thousing.
It'll be interesting to see who starts up front - I've got Burrell as our first goalscorer but who knows whether he'll even start.
And paraphrasing Alex Ferguson, "Lads, it's Preston."

Brining my Nephew to his first ever game, he keeps telling me he wants to support Arsenal (already losty own son to newcastle) so I really hope we get a result and he leaves feeling like I did after my first game.
I'll go 3-1 rangers also

0-1 Preston score early and then sh1thouse the rest of the game
I'm glad we aren't playing a big club who would have sold out the upper tier of the School End and who would out-sing us.
I don't think it will be a repeat of QPR 0 Swansea 5 on the first day of the season in 2012 but I've got an ominous feeling that we might fluff our lines.
Please Rangers, don't let us down. The PA can be shot, the water in the toilets can run dry and the beer can be flat, but please don't let us down on the pitch.
This screams frustrating and inconclusive 1-1 to me.
Couldn't resist popping on the equivalent thread on the PNE answer to LFW - a completely mixed bag of they win / we win / draw predictions...but the place isn't exactly buzzing with optimism. Examples: "I can’t remember ever being so pessimistic about the season"; "It’ll end ‘……..Preston Nil’."

I'm sure you'll find all the information you seek on the QPR Official Website. Ahem…
