Get your point but don't necessarily agree. If Cook had been released then we would've had more money in the kitty to sign Edwards maybe?
Lesser spotted Clarke Salter on 11:20 - Oct 1 with 2827 views | 89_50 | While I think he is a fantastic footballer and arguably our most technically gifted defender, Glass-Salter is just too fragile. He can have all the talent in the world, but the best ability is availability and he doesn't offer it. Just turned 28, so a good age for us to potentially cash in our chips if we can find a buyer.
Lesser spotted Clarke Salter on 11:29 - Oct 1 with 2745 views | TheChef | If it is just his groin or some muscular strain, then let's hope him coming off early last night is just a precautionary measure.

What makes you think we are going to find a buyer? We are all here commenting on his injury record and lack of game time, so what makes you think another club would want a piece of that. I am guessing not amount of gym work or training can get you ready for actual playing time, I am hoping that this might just be his body reacting slightly to be put under a strain for some time. At the moment, we don't know if it was a precaution or something more serious. If a precaution and just his body reacting (maybe as well there is a mental side to this - can't be nice not being able to play or be in pain) then hopefully all ok. If it is something more serious then, I think the club might have to make the decision to let him go. We have already seen that Edwards can provide that playing out from the back that JCS can and a lot younger. We are losing JCS best years currently | | | | Login to get fewer ads

And up he pops. Barely saw you during our three-win spell. Just recently to say Norrington-Davies wasn't very good, Vale was just a hair transplant and we were sh it against Sheff Wed. Now on the JCS injury thread. Incredibly supportive as ever.

There's only one club who would buy JGS at the moment. And we already own him. Get on the phone to the Churchill dog or the GoCompare man - the only way out of this is insurance.

Lesser spotted Clarke Salter on 13:17 - Oct 1 with 2250 views | Pindarus | Where is their any reliable confirmation that he came off after 11 minutes? He was signed on a free transfer. He had one excellent season, with no specific injury record. He was young. A 4 year contract appears reasonable. We have a lot of hindsight specialists on this board. Do you really think he is deliberately conning the club?

Lesser spotted Clarke Salter on 13:41 - Oct 1 with 2089 views | bosh67 | It appears that he went down on the 11th minute holding his hip. He's 28 now and has only played 190 pro level games in his career since 2016. 'Fully fit' he is obviously an absolute top player. We spoke on him as a Rolls Royce player when he strung some matches together. My fear is at 28 and with so many serious injuries and after a long time out having a problem with his hip after just 11 minutes of what is effectively a training game for him, is he ever going to make it back onto the pitch in any meaningful way? Feel for the guy and from what I hear he is a very decent character. With Edwards now playing some time for Southampton (at right back) you do feel that we are either going to have to go back after him in the new year or at least find a left footed centre back to come in then.

Lesser spotted Clarke Salter on 21:34 - Sep 30 by CamberleyR | I've said it before and I'll say it again that I think he needs to find a new profession as his body just doesn't seem to be up to the rigours of being a professional athlete. |
Needs to try his hand at snooker. No doubt do his back in though. Shame, but the lad is made of glass. Need to get Edward’s back in January.
Lesser spotted Clarke Salter on 14:26 - Oct 1 with 1802 views | BrianMcCarthy | Here's hoping this is just a niggle, and he came off so as not to make it worse. Can happen very easily to players coming back from a long layoff.

Some players hardly ever get injured, some seem to be permanently so. Jake clearly sits in the latter. There will come a point, and it can’t be that far away, that he will have to consider his longevity in the game. If his body is genuinely too fragile to withstand the physicality of professional football, he needs to consider his long term health. As he gets older, old injuries can and will play havoc with his mobility and quality of life.

Read again before steaming in with the knives out. I did say 'if'. I'm under no illusion that anyone is willing or able to buy him. Honestly, everyone is so f#king hair trigger.

I have him on block but can easily guess the gist of what he’s posted as it follows a general theme. I’m sure he’s a lot more active on the Leicester City forum nowadays anyhow.
