injuries?

Can't blame it all on the injuries. We were bottom of the league under his watch and we were bloody awful. I'm delighted he managed to turn it around but if we're giving him full credit for the turn around then we have to lay some of the blame for having us at the bottom of the league on him too.

First season, no doubt that was a rescue mission and it was an incredible one. This season he had a full pre season with the players and had us bottom, playing some of the worst football in November. The turn around after that was remarkable and I'm delighted we stuck with him but he saved us from a mess he'd played a part in creating.

I tend to agree.

I am firmly in the pro-Cifuentes camp. If it's a choice between Marti and Nourry (and I suspect it now is) then I definitely want Marti to stay.

But am I blind to his faults and mistakes; of course I am not?

As Clive has stated, both Mummy and Daddy are at fault in this divorce.

It’s not an either/or, it’s both.

In this instance though this leak does Marti no favours, so it was leaked by Nourry/Hoos. Whereas the Sun article did Hoos and Nourry no favours so that was egged on by Marti. He did the press conference himself.

Everyone is on manoeuvres.

Cifuentes wants to leave, I think, partly through personal ambition, partly because he cannot stand working with Nourry.

I keep coming back to this, who will want to work with Nourry?

You only have to look at Twitter tonight. All the Beale Mk II stuff, all the snake emojis. It's had the desired effect.

I suspect there could be a long list of people prepared to agree with him on many things if paid a lot of money, Hunter.

A lot of swallowing to be done and money to be made

Well, quite. That is my point.

The profile of anyone who will agree to work under Nourry is unlikely to be “highly competent” and and “high performing”. It’ll be someone who owes their big break to him. Someone who will be loyal and do what he wants. It’ll likely be a “yes” man. That is not in the interests of the club.

Does anyone seriously think a strong, high performing, experienced/ambitious head coach will work for a 27 yr old with a couple of years in the game, who is CEO and DoF, wants to player recruitment purely on data and is highly controlling?

People can name anyone they like, but ask yourself if you can see them happily working for someone of Nourry’s profile, and character traits?

Bizarre number of accounts seem to have popped up on Twitter in the past few days, all opened this month and all with the sole purpose of constantly tweeting anti-Cifuentes stuff. Something odd going on there.

I've already explained that higher up.

Look, it's fine, I get it, you're going to embed and entrench in your view, I'll probably do the same in mine. There's no point in continuing this. We'll both see who's right in time. I'll happily come back and hold my hands up this time next year if we're flying.

The question for QPR should be - if several other Championship clubs are interested in Marti, why the hell do we want to get rid of him????

It's an absolute joke. i wonder how it's done - can't imagine it is the employees themselves but more like a consultancy or agency that they use for PR. Terrible.

I am so fed up with the way our club is run. Do you think Brighton or Brentford or Palace spend time and resources on this rubbish to manipulate the fans?

But that’s where we differ no? You and quite a few here seem to think it’s Marti vs Nourry. And you’ve got to pick a side. Nourry hasn’t don’t anything good being one example since he joined. It’s borderline mental to say that he hasn’t done one single thing of any benefit to the club since he joined.

Of course if I had to choose I would go for Marti. I’m not singing Nourry songs at games. I don’t know the guy. But neither do I think he’s the anti-Christ. We will be in a better position next season with Marti as manager. I’ve no doubt about that. I don’t want him to go. But I also think the “reasons” for him being unhappy and wanting to resign are nonsense. Yes irritating about the medical guy and not getting a fee kick coach but come on! Sit down next week or after Sunderland and get things sorted. They are hardly major problems.

I don’t understand why last week, the Ian Mc article didn’t come from Marti? Now this “leak” had to come from the club / Nourry? I get many don’t like him but we’ve got to be balanced about it. Maybe Marti just wants to leave.

For what purpose would that help them?

They would still have to pay compensation if they appointed Cifuentes. If he was sacked, Marti would lose his pay off from the day he accepted another position, possibly increasing the salary that he would regard as the minimum.

Because it causes issues at qpr.

Anyway, the truth will come out who leaked it soon enough. Sky sports isn’t exactly known for discretion!

Ok well it's 9pm and I'm 2,000 words off writing 2,000 words about QPR 0-5 Burnley.

But very quickly...

"You and quite a few here seem to think it’s Marti vs Nourry. And you’ve got to pick a side."

I literally wrote in the match preview on Friday that it's a messy divorce, and there will be fault on both sides.

"Nourry hasn’t don’t anything good being one example since he joined. It’s borderline mental to say that he hasn’t done one single thing of any benefit to the club since he joined."

I have very frequently said that getting rid of people like Tailor from the academy, not having 22-23 year olds like Nico, Shodipo, Owens hanging round on good money, wanting the development squad to be 16-17-18 year olds because by 19 you want them first team or gone is great. I've pointed out how stupid it was that we didn't clock the ground/stand/training ground sponsorship loopholes for revenue until he came. So it may be "borderline mental" to say he hasn't done anything of benefit, but that's not what I've said. At all.

"I’m not singing Nourry songs at games. I don’t know the guy."

This is something I've been waiting for somebody to piece together on here. Look at the posters who like and rate Nourry, look at the posters who have concerns. One of the key divides between them is it's the people who actually have met him, had to deal with him, had to work with him...

"They are hardly major problems."

The relationship has disintegrated. I cannot believe with everything that's going on at the moment that people are still in denial about this. Just... look.

"Maybe Marti just wants to leave."

Well there we do agree.

A cynic might suggest a link with the rather expensive PR agency that Nourry brought onboard last autumn….

Of course the Ian Mc article came from Cifuentes’ team. Anybody who tried to claim otherwise would be extremely naive.

One last question. Why would anybody at West Bromich want to cause issues at Queens Park Rangers?

Well if you're right, and if they're reading this, I have this to say:

Fcuk you you incompetent c**ts.

Fcuk off somewhere else Nourry you useless pr1ck.

Get the fcuk out of the club Rueben you incompetent fool, and take Hoos with you. You are running the club into the ground. You couldn't run a p1ss up in a brewery.

I hope we start next season with anti Nourry, Hoos, Rueben protests. Fcuk all 3 of you. Need you all out of the club ASAP.

Without suggesting that it’s something the clubs expensively retained PR consultants might do, in 2025 it’s extremely easy and also extremely affordable to provide a simple script to a bot farm and generate endless copy.

I look it like this, we are still in the Championship, manager goes, we find another one. In terms of what is going on in the boardroom do I care, not really, actually want to see a team on the pitch, especially at Loftus Road, where I pay for a season ticket to actually perform and give it a go, and let's be honest that has not really been happening much recently.

I agree with you that's it's too simple to dismiss Nourry as a complete car crash and that he has some successes under his belt.

But looking through the list of things you give him credit for I think they are mostly things that would fall under his CEO remit.

Where I have doubts about him is more on the DoF side. Particularly the summer recruitment leaving us with an inexperienced and lop-sided squad.

The Ben Williams phoning it in from Dubai is another issue where I feel an experienced DoF would have put their foot down and blocked that.

So a bit of a curate's egg, and the club could do worse than to rethink this dual CEO/DoF role.
