Sky Sports Breaking News on 17:27 - Apr 27 by davman | Maybe it is all Nourry and Hoos or maybe, just maybe Marti is pulling the strings because he knows we cannot compete at this level with our budget and doesn't want go spend this part of his career dragging a bunch of footballing Neanderthals to get to 50 points. Like Beale, maybe the reality of how fkd the club is shows them that NO-ONE can possibly succeed here and they want out before they go down with a sinking ship? Maybe he really is St Marti fighting the good fight against evil Lee and evil Christian, or maybe he has had enough and wants out. There is as much chance that he leaked this as Nourry. Either way, here we fckn go again. The one bad choice I have made in my life is this poxy club. |
One question was it a choice. ? Met a bloke a while ago who blamed his dad for taking him to rangers rather than arsenal. Maybe i should have done that with my eldest whom is a rangers through and through now. He said the other day "we just shit aren't we" and knew he was a Ranger..... its got to be some sort of childline/Ester ranson call for him ... if we get rid of MC I might give it up [Post edited 27 Apr 22:18]

Sky Sports Breaking News on 18:14 - Apr 27 by dm97 | This eventuality (not sacked, not a resignation) is probably best for both parties at this point. It’s obviously gone sour and we’d be mad not to get some dough for him. All points to club leaking it imo |
Agreed . Looks like it’s time to move on .

My choice. Dad played Rugby for Saracens, flirted with Millwall, but hated the trouble there, so they weren't for me. Brother is 4 years older and Palace and there was no way I was ever following him. When I got to 5 I had to choose. Originally I said Liverpool, but my brother scoffed and said you always go for the best, so I went for the team in second. They were a London club, so I chose and stuck with them. After seeing them not score for my first 4 games, I still stayed in and that set the tone for the lat twenty years. At least between 11 and 22 years old we were more than decent, but since then it has been awful. Still, like you I have indoctrinated my lad in this shite. HE had no choice, but seeing how happy he was when that third went in against Oxford, there are times when he enjoys it. Mostly, he knows we are 'kin awful though... [Post edited 27 Apr 18:40]

You always wonder if you could have had a happier existence with different choices. Sadly you cannot change who you support. We are generally always totally cr*p but rather than in the sports bar we are currently sitting in with Southern and London and Essex accents galore, glorying in their teams premiership title !!! 1. It's not as real, is it ????? And 2. Boring winning, all the time !!! I think Cifuentes is off. Can't blame him. But it's QPR... [Post edited 27 Apr 18:47]

Authorising his agent to talk to another club I hope he goes now. Let's not forget NO-ONE had heard of him until Nourry appointed him. Nourry will have identified his successor |
yea. In Nourry we trust. The 27 year old CEO with zero relevant experience

Darren Witcoop tends to be reliable. The WLS report from yesterday also mentioned that he was a contender for West Brom: https://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/cifuentes-praises-qpr-fans-and-players-as-he "The Spaniard, a contender for the vacant manager’s job at West Bromwich Albion, was again asked if he expects to remain at QPR."

Sky Sports Breaking News on 17:19 - Apr 27 by BrianMcCarthy | Well, Nourry found Cifuentes year before he came to the club. Now that he's actually here, imagine what a good manager he'll find! |
That isn’t true. It’s what Nourry said, but as Clive has pointed out, the club interviewed and were interested pre-Beale and certainly pre-Critchley. Way before Nourry was CEO and DOF.

As for the comparison's with Beale completely different situations. For a start Marti has saved this club twice and been here nearly two seasons I don't begrudge him moving to a club higher up the food chain especially after what he's done for us .

First season, no doubt that was a rescue mission and it was an incredible one. This season he had a full pre season with the players and had us bottom, playing some of the worst football in November. The turn around after that was remarkable and I'm delighted we stuck with him but he saved us from a mess he'd played a part in creating.

It’s not an either/or, it’s both. In this instance though this leak does Marti no favours, so it was leaked by Nourry/Hoos. Whereas the Sun article did Hoos and Nourry no favours so that was egged on by Marti. He did the press conference himself. Everyone is on manoeuvres. Cifuentes wants to leave, I think, partly through personal ambition, partly because he cannot stand working with Nourry. I keep coming back to this, who will want to work with Nourry?

In a more serious note I'm very much over this club now. Starting to get that numb feeling like it don't matter what happens anymore. Nurse!!!!!

I suspect there could be a long list of people prepared to agree with him on many things if paid a lot of money, Hunter. A lot of swallowing to be done and money to be made

Or maybe clever of Marti to let the news out last week that he was unhappy over a few areas. Issue is that leak came via West Brom…..so now he looks a little foolish.

Quite easily. The club can't talk to the manager/player under contract, but I don't think there is any reason why they can't ask their representatives if they would be interested in joining them. I suspect most agents test what interest there is in their client before discussing any new contract offer. Others on this board might know differently though.
