I agree with you that's it's too simple to dismiss Nourry as a complete car crash and that he has some successes under his belt.

But looking through the list of things you give him credit for I think they are mostly things that would fall under his CEO remit.

Where I have doubts about him is more on the DoF side. Particularly the summer recruitment leaving us with an inexperienced and lop-sided squad.

The Ben Williams phoning it in from Dubai is another issue where I feel an experienced DoF would have put their foot down and blocked that.

So a bit of a curate's egg, and the club could do worse than to rethink this dual CEO/DoF role.

Or find a CEO/DOF that had ever been a CEO or DOF before.

Maybe Cifuentes was/has been using QPR as a foothold Into English football, putting himself In the shop window sort of thing.

One last question. Why would anybody at West Bromich want to cause issues at Queens Park Rangers?

Do you think they hate us for 1967?

And 1982.

I think we helped keep them up once in this league tho? 1999-00?

That might work too :-)

It is ironic that former CEO Lee Hoos is still on the staff as a mentor/cheerleader for Nourry, but there's no wise footballing head helping him with his decision making.

Given that we are a football club that is a bit of an oversight.

Perhaps co-opting a former player onto the board as a non-executive director might be an idea. Les Ferdinand might be a bit too familiar to the board but someone like Gerry Francis could have a lot to offer.

I've already explained that higher up.

Look, it's fine, I get it, you're going to embed and entrench in your view, I'll probably do the same in mine. There's no point in continuing this. We'll both see who's right in time. I'll happily come back and hold my hands up this time next year if we're flying.

In fairness you should clarify, flying in which direction.

I'm not saying your wrong Ted but I think you may be wrong. If he moves it is because something behind the scenes has seriously p*ssed him off but he's got on with it anyway.

It's amazing that (so far) press and social media are claiming he's off to 4 other clubs.

Perhaps he has been bashing his head against a brick wall and enough is enough for him? or... ever the optimist, it is all press talk and he actually does want to stay and build the club here. If he doesn't stay, I think genuine questions have to be asked about why the world behind the scenes at QPR isn't right. It probably would be in areas we don't even know about.

Or not...

Never knowingly right.

Of course.

Yet again, it strikes me as phenomenally short term and not strategic once again.

People in football talk. If this is Nourry, other coaches and managers (and agents!) won’t trust him. That will harm our ability to attract talent at all levels.

It may help them lose Cifuentes in a way that tempers the blowback, but it’ll given them more problems in the future. And if the next manager starts badly, it’ll still be toxic with a lot of heat on Nourry.

Ok well it's 9pm and I'm 2,000 words off writing 2,000 words about QPR 0-5 Burnley.

But very quickly...

"You and quite a few here seem to think it’s Marti vs Nourry. And you’ve got to pick a side."

I literally wrote in the match preview on Friday that it's a messy divorce, and there will be fault on both sides.

"Nourry hasn’t don’t anything good being one example since he joined. It’s borderline mental to say that he hasn’t done one single thing of any benefit to the club since he joined."

I have very frequently said that getting rid of people like Tailor from the academy, not having 22-23 year olds like Nico, Shodipo, Owens hanging round on good money, wanting the development squad to be 16-17-18 year olds because by 19 you want them first team or gone is great. I've pointed out how stupid it was that we didn't clock the ground/stand/training ground sponsorship loopholes for revenue until he came. So it may be "borderline mental" to say he hasn't done anything of benefit, but that's not what I've said. At all.

"I’m not singing Nourry songs at games. I don’t know the guy."

This is something I've been waiting for somebody to piece together on here. Look at the posters who like and rate Nourry, look at the posters who have concerns. One of the key divides between them is it's the people who actually have met him, had to deal with him, had to work with him...

"They are hardly major problems."

The relationship has disintegrated. I cannot believe with everything that's going on at the moment that people are still in denial about this. Just... look.

"Maybe Marti just wants to leave."

Well there we do agree.

Bizarre number of accounts seem to have popped up on Twitter in the past few days, all opened this month and all with the sole purpose of constantly tweeting anti-Cifuentes stuff. Something odd going on there.

Why is anybody still using Twitter. It turned toxic last year and I only go on it to check the teamsheet.

It’s not an either/or, it’s both.

In this instance though this leak does Marti no favours, so it was leaked by Nourry/Hoos. Whereas the Sun article did Hoos and Nourry no favours so that was egged on by Marti. He did the press conference himself.

Everyone is on manoeuvres.

Cifuentes wants to leave, I think, partly through personal ambition, partly because he cannot stand working with Nourry.

I keep coming back to this, who will want to work with Nourry?

Ben Williams?

It's all press though, innit. Nothing from the club.

Obviously if Jude is in the dug out next weekend we'll know but until then hopefully Marti will stay.

Isnt that the source of the problem though. The club only communicates with the fans on an ad-hoc basis. In the absence of real information, people suspect the worst.

Put it this way Bosh, If he's still here In August I'll be delighted, having said that like It or not he's got to pull his bloody socks up IMO.

Rightly or wrongly I was expecting more from him and our players this season, we haven't had that.

Five out of Ten.

If you’re an ambitious young manager you’re not going to earn decent money knocking about in the Swedish or Norwegian leagues.

It’s now clear that Cifuentes is on board the English football managerial merry go round with its associated financial benefits.

This isn’t a criticism. You’d be bonkers to not want a piece of this.

My choice. Dad played Rugby for Saracens, flirted with Millwall, but hated the trouble there, so they weren't for me. Brother is 4 years older and Palace and there was no way I was ever following him. When I got to 5 I had to choose.

Originally I said Liverpool, but my brother scoffed and said you always go for the best, so I went for the team in second. They were a London club, so I chose and stuck with them. After seeing them not score for my first 4 games, I still stayed in and that set the tone for the lat twenty years.

At least between 11 and 22 years old we were more than decent, but since then it has been awful. Still, like you I have indoctrinated my lad in this shite. HE had no choice, but seeing how happy he was when that third went in against Oxford, there are times when he enjoys it. Mostly, he knows we are 'kin awful though...

Yeah, thanks for the reminder. I could have been very close to my brother going up and down the country with him supporting Palace seeing them become nearly what we were in the 80s.

But I made my choice because he was a bit of a bully at 9 years old to 5 year old me. I was going to be better than him and forge my own path even at that early age; no way would I be the same as him in any way.

We even married sisters don't you know - me the older one; him the younger one. They got together first and me and the wife were really reluctant to get together just in case we split up to make it awkward for them. Little did we know we would be here 24 years married years later whilst they got divorced 22 years ago 'cos Big Bro played away.

So, despite the fact that the red and blue poo are going all that, I still have no regrets over my choice; it would have been awkward spending time with him when he was going through the divorce.

Its just shite that our record sale is to them and they really are (albeit a midtable) established part of the cash league, safe in the knowledge that every season there will be three teams promoted worse than them every season.

Such is life.

And just remember who got them up in the play-offs last time round...

The Palace thing is particularly galling because when we went up as champions, they were in a state. Ergo us getting Warnock, Derry and Hill. As with everything we moan about on here, it all comes back to who bought the club after promotion. If Fernandes had bought West Ham, they'd probably be in League One by now. And here we are 14 years on and it's deja vu with the dipstick owners still f***ing up everything they touch.

Ooh hush your mouth! St Marti using QPR as a stepping stone?

The only problem with that theory is that he's accomplished nothing save just about not relegating us a couple of times then passing it off as a 'remarkable achievement' (his words). He makes Ainsworth look aspirational!

We need so much better right through the club - credible, Champ-savvy players, a serious CEO/DOF, and a manager/board with real vision and ambition.

About a year ago almost 4,000 of us travelled to Coventry to pay homage to Marti for the job he had done. We also won 2-0 on that day. I came away thinking we might just have a special talent on our hands and can we take care of him.
He’s had some incredible challenges this season and perhaps he should have shown some restraint in publicly expressing his concerns about the behind the scenes issues.
Having said that how on earth have the club allowed this to escalate to the point where the best coach we’ve had for some time is going to walk out the door?
Our main problem is actually finding out what the feck has happened but given how Nourry doesn’t communicate that is going to be difficult.
I hope Clive and his like-minded Rs journalists can get stuck in because if this implodes next season is going to be vile and toxic.
I’m genuinely fed up with arse-holes fecking this club up.
