The QPR summer transfer rumours thread on 17:35 - Jul 22 by Quite_Possibly_Ropey
Never heard of him but a quick look on YouTube at his more prolific time at Grenoble was a much more promising watch.
Looks like a willing runner, dropping deep to link play kind of forward. The sort that would be the perfect accompaniment to a Kelman-type finisher. Would personally be disappointed to lose Kelman at this stage but hands are tied if he won't sign a new deal.
Definitely happy to drop deep. Great if you've got runners like Poku, Chair going beyond him.

Christmas. Those highlights are pretty bad.
Imagine having to put that together.
Reminds me a lot of Sebastian Polter. Loved that guy. Touch like a wheely bin

I think Lloyd will be moved on and I have a feeling the other one to be moved on will be Kolli not Kelman.
Personally would be happier to get rid of Kolli and keep Kelman and have a hunch the club think the same way. I think currently Kolli and Kelman could sell for similar prices if we made others aware.
Kelman, Frey, Celar and possibly this guy from Schalke could be decent.
I was always certain Dunne was going nowhere based on my own intuition and I reckon we will get a striker in and keep Kelman also.
Watch this space !!!!

“Celar” and “decent” in the same sentence…… it’s a mad world
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

According to WLS Luton have put a bid in for Kelman.
That will be for the money?
He was top scorer last season in the league one, I would like to think he would be trying to prove himself in the championship or equivalent
Hope he stays and prove up himself here
I do know it is a delicate situation for the club. If he doesn’t sign, we may be keeping an unhappy player. If he plays well, he will be asking for more, and if no extension is agreed other clubs will be in for him for free at the end of the season.
Hope he signs but I don’t know how that will happen.
Obviously no insight into his thinking, but if we're turning down a money bid it's surely because we want to play him. And presumably the whole point of sending him out to Orient was to get to a point where we could. Can't imagine that wasn't discussed at the time.
If there's an offer from a top-half Champ side and we turn it down, then, sure, I'd be pissed off in his boots. But I'm not convinced that will happen, most of those are shopping for something better than a proven League 1 striker.
Getting a serious chance to be first choice in a Championship side is what I'd have thought was good progress for a player who was where he was this time last year.

Champ strikers go for £5m a pop these days. Therefore, as Kelman is a proven L1 ... well, last season at least, then that should be at least £3m. Luton can afford that and I would hope it's a lot more as they have the monies.
I am not sure about Ba, he looks a bit like Sylla to me. Sylla had a decent record, but were we ever convinced? Not me.
I also read that the manager wants Chair to play centrally. So, we have Chair, Morgan and Dembele who can play in the centre. This means Madsen is not needed. They could have found a way to shift Madsen on, as his stats from last season are not that bad. 3 Goals, 3 Assists in 31 Champions appearances. It might be a cut your losses moment.
This leaves us with Kolli (who is rumoured to be off), Sutton and Smyth on the left. I suspect the view is Sutton is coming in, which would be remarkable progress.

I didn’t expect Kelman’s breakout year last year, like most of us. It feels odd to have a hot property when he’s never done or had the chance to do the business for us. When was the last time that happened?? And what did we do then?
I’d like to see Kelman stay but if he is to be sold as long as it’s outside the Championship I think it will sting a little less.

If we sell Kelman, for me, even if the offer is £5 million, its is idiotic and would be yet another ridiculously poor decision made by a QPR hierarchy.
He would need replacing and for £5million or less, you get a player who could work and maybe could not, a bit like with the man we have in front of us.
Am slightly concerned about two potential decisions currently it seems our new man at the helm is making.
In that Celar is higher up the chain than Kelman, and Walsh is higher up the chain than Nardi. Both, i personally disagree with completely Very happy to be proved wrong but really I think to potentially get rid of Nardi and Kelman even if we do get a bit of dosh for both, what is the point exactly.

I’d also think kelman wants assurances on where he stands in the striker pecking order . Who is our first choice striker ? Do we even have one or just see who’s half fit each sat ? Money will come into it but I’d imagine she also thinking do I want to stay and be a sub behind celar and Frey ?

So my bet of us coming 16th comes off.

Is that the case though? After a long injury lay-off Celar needs game minutes. Kelman, OTOH, was in L1 play-offs so is relatively fresh.
Similarly, Walsh had far fewer games in the past year than Nardi. The coaches want to see what he can do. That's what pre-season is for no?
I doubt we'll see anything like a Championship starting line-up until the Brentford match.

The problem with Kelman is that he is in the last year of his contract. We have to sell if an offer comes in near 5m. We need to learn lessons from the past.
Smells like a trout farm in here

I hope he signs an extension and we see how he does but they cannot let him walk. so we might need to take a lot less than £5m . I could be way off but if he is not signing i’d think £2.5-£3m with a hefty sell on % might be what we end up with.. Unfortunately we cannot afford not to.

Would he go back to L1 though, even for more money? He's a known quantity there. Most teams will have an idea of how to play him by now. If Luton don't get promoted he could end up being nothing more than the best paid player in level three. I s'pose he might be content with that, but I'm not sure I'd want him on my team if he was.
