He’s a great player. More like a Chair type player - eye for a pass, good shot both feet and very skilful. Another highly rated young Aussie. Currently the Socceroos coach, Tony Popovic is trying to chase Greece away from him as he also qualifies to play for the Greeks.

I’d personally be very unhappy if we sold him for £4 million this close to the start of the season without a guaranteed goal scoring replacement lined up. That said, the length of time left on his contract may dictate how this goes. Plus surely he’d want to test himself in the Championship with a run of games rather than go to the MLS at his age? |  | | |
