Bidwell started every single league game in 17/18 and started as LB across 4 different managers. They can't all be wrong.

No Roberto Carlos but I think 'bloody awful' is over the top personally. His career since backs that up too.

Esquerdinha my prediction for scapegoat in chief this season. We have a thing against full backs at this club for some reason.

Never forgiven him for missing the last minute penalty at Reading that year.

Genuine question -- who was pushing him for his place across his tenure with us?

I personally can't recall anyone.

This club has not had decent fullbacks or options for YEARS.
The best one we've had is a converted CB in Sir James of the Dunne's.
THAT is the issue with full backs / wing backs at this club... we are blind to signing them!
It's why young Kenneth get's a good rep from me... man with two hairs in the land of the bald and all that.

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

The Bidwell thing is a classic case of vibes vs facts.

Since he left he’s only once finished below QPR and that was by one place.

He’s a standard to middling quality Champ FB, which over the last ten years makes him better than us as we’ve been mostly below average in that time.

I bet he finishes above us again this season too.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

Jack Robinson, Joel Lynch, and Ryan Manning all stretched across his time here.

No mugs.

Jack Robinson - perpetually injured

Lynch - as above / on holiday jollies and "couldn't care less"

Manning - Bang on, he should've been used much, much more and; agreed, no mug.

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Interesting move here by Watford as they are phasing out the match day programme for a digital version:

Possibly a sign of things to come for the match day experience?

Shame thats one tradition I was hoping would survive its been such a staple of games since the begining .
Just like the concert tickets a bar on your phone now compared to those beautiful tickets you recieved from the postman and had to guard with your life for months until the date rolled around .
Those ticket stubs from the 60s and 70s are getting huge prices I read somewhere now such is the demand for nostalgic good old days.I have none of those of course

I kept my ticket for the London Nirvana gigs that never happened instead of getting the refund. Buggered if I can find it now, please don't tell me how much they are worth

**EDIT**
I'm pretty sure my ticket was for the 5th April, which made it more valuable.
Might spend some time going through cupboards at my Mums house now

In a 15000 crowd I doubt we’re shifting 1000. A nice memento for a really big game but I can’t remember when I last bought one and would rather go for AKUTRs which I inevitably then lose on the train home anyway.

Plus the environment innit. Clubs will have green targets like it or not.

Just watched Luton v Wimbledon. Christ, it was a hard watch.
Luton, despite winning due to a 85th minute OG, look shyte.

Poll: How is Nourry cooking so far ? 🤣

I liked the BBC comment, “an hour into the new season and I already can’t wait for it to end”.

Nakhi Wells and Cauley Woodrow, look what you could have won.

According to a reliable Dutch journo, Birmingham will cover 60% of his 80k p/w wages. So around 50k p/w. Madness

Akpom was absolutely woeful while at Ajax. Clearly a level (or two) above his capabilities. Will probably do well at BCFC.

He was one of the Mislintat buys that almost ruined Ajax and will take a couple of years to recover from. They spent I think 110m euros on absolute crap players and now they (a) are short of quality to compete at the levels they are used too, (b) don't have money left to find better replacements and (c) are stuck with these palookas on long expensive contracts. Trying to offload whoever they can for whatever they can get.

They tried a QPR there.

I took my daughter to her very first Ajax game at that time, the big home clash vs Feyenoord. Game was abandoned after crowd through stuff on te pitch in protest and Mislintat was fired soon after.

Moore to Wrexham. Did we not have a couple of mill left over from Kelman sale, to bring in a proven Championship goalscorer. And don't tell me about not fitting the 'model" of buying young developing and selling. Players develop a lot faster and more effectively if they are not mired in a relegation battle when they become too terrified to make a mistake that they refuse to take any risks. Two players that were available within our budget -Moore and Beck-who would have transformed our ambitions for next season from dire to mildly hopeful. If I can see that from 500 miles away why can't Nourry lift his head out of his PC and see what is right under his nose 5th

We just spent a season of Moore's wages on Burrell's transfer- never mind HIS wages. Burrell may turn out to be the signing of the season, but right now I know which one I'd rather. 5 days before the new season starts and we don't even know if we will have a striker on the pitch - bloody joke.

30k a week and 2m for a 32 year old. People would be losing their s.hit if we made a signing like that. Break wage structure, break bank, back to the days before Les joined and had to sort out the mess. Ridiculous idea signing him.
