We sold a player who might have come good, but clearly wasn’t committed — for £3–5 million after add-ons, and brought in a proven, well-liked striker off the back of a strong season at Burton for a quarter of the fee. This is exactly the kind of smart, pragmatic business the club should be doing.
I know he’s a striker but I liked the bit he said about relentless pressing.
Totally agree, we have been crying out for some of that. Pressing high is exactly the sort of trait that creates opportunities for the following in of Chair, Poku, Dembele, etc.
Would also agree that Celar could very well be gone sooner rather than later.
