Ok, so we areall agreed we dont waant Martin to leave. But what about Marti?
Good point!
While we're looking at an active preseason of ins and outs, getting in a new bloke would add a layer of complication that's not needed. There's something good between him and us (ignore the idiots on X) and I suspect the players like him, too. Worrying if it's Kim Jung's algorithm that doesn't like him.
Stick.

Progress for me this season was to beat last years total of 56 . It can still be done however I did say that this squad fully fit gets into the top ten . He hasn’t had that luxury whatsoever. Take Michi Frey for instance. He’s limited but I think he gets 15 goals for us if he plays a full season. By the way despite his limitations. I love the guy. Chair and Jake have pretty much missed most of the season and our two “star signing “ Madsen and Celar have been anonymous either through injury or poor form. Marti ain’t perfect. The abysmal start to the season was a negative but what he’s done with this squad is outstanding. Praying he stays .

Anyone who wants Marti to leave can get f**ked by an eight-dicked walrus.

Stick. He's done great. Yesterday for example his subs/changes had Heckingwhateverhisnameis and his coaching staff visibly scratching their heads trying to follow what Marti was up to, and they blew their slender lead. Unless our current CEO is a complete idiot, the bigger danger is that Marti wants a new challenge as he has done regularly throughout his career up to now. Hopefully this time he sees the challenge as getting us into that top six, but that's a big doubt for me.

We are mostly agreed it seems (apart from Stainers who is AWOL), but it’s an interesting situation for Nourry to handle.
Don’t see Marti leaving voluntarily unless he has a better job to go to. Whilst we think he’s great, I’m not sure others will look at his time here as successful enough to try and tempt him away with a better offer. So, let’s say he stays and waits for a better offer that doesn’t materialise and we’re into the window and preseason, discussing commitments and contracts with new and existing players.
Nourry won’t fire him (and probably pay him off) unless he finds someone better (better might just be do what Nourry says) - who would that be ? Who would take the job working for him that would be an upgrade and who would want that job working for Nourry if they research it properly ?
This scenario is neither stick or twist - it’s an impasse of sorts and in my tiny mind, that’s probably the worst case scenario of all three possible outcomes because we will be back into next season with very little positive change other than some different players.
It probably means retaining all the suspected relationship issues that we speculate about weekly and that’s not good for any of the parties involved, especially if we start the season badly again.
I’m pretty sure Nourry understands this is probably his biggest challenge now we are safe so I expect he’s been told to resolve it. That’s either another contract review or a new manager/coach in time for the window and preseason.
Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

Of course we could insist on voting Martí ‘player of the year’.
Without doubt he’s made some frustrating mistakes, but overall he’s done an amazing job with this squad and the range of injuries he’s had to cope with. And still managed to get to a similar points tally to last season. Less fannying around at the back would be nice too.
Fed up with our manager carousel, stick with him and let him develop this squad and let’s see what he can do next season.
Oh, and I like him too.

Hes never really had a chance to get the team playing the way he wants. If he leaves it'll be regrets all around.
If he stays, the club (yes you, Nourry) need to give the players to do the job properly. I still think we won't push for playoffs/promotion until season 26/27 when the youngsters start pushing into the first team, so I think MC may be off. I'll be gutted if he goes.

If you're like me - You will feel so much better
On the thoughts of Marti going... I would be so disappointed in both him and the club if he did - Would only wish him well if he got a dream job, otherwise he has unfinished business here
Give him a season with minimal injuries and I think we will see a very successful period.

My mates's brother once told me that Betty Boo's "doing the do" was about drug consumption.... have no idea but who wouldn't have? Betty Boo, I mean her faux American rapping style wasn't to my taste but come on...
QPR fan though, so I like her. And I’ll Do the Do with her anytime she likes.

If Marti leaves that will be a catastrophic failure by Nourry as CEO for me.
Best manager we’ve had in a hell of a long time
I know Nourry is not on many people’s Christmas card list but I’m beginning to give him some credit for his handling of the transfer finances. He’s a sharp dealer and doesn’t share his feelings or motives with anyone. To lose Marti would be a big financial mistake so I can’t see him letting that happen.
Strong and stable my arse.

With the possible exception of he who sees things differently than everyone else, and everyone else is wrong, i doubt you will find anyone who doesnt want Marti to stay.
